This Qdoba used to be pretty good and I was a regular for years but has drastically fallen off a cliff in every way the last couple years. I went 3 times the last 2 weeks just to be sure it wasn't a single bad visit before writing this. When you walk in you'll get deadpan stares from the employees as they mumble their questions about what you'd like to order. It's near impossible to hear what they're saying. Not a positive emotion in the building. That would be forgivable if it weren't for the food and price being the real villains in this store. They don't strain the beans at all before throwing them in your burrito or bowl so I hope you enjoy bean juice and soggy tortillas. When they mumble asking which kind of meat you'd like, you'll be greeted with a selection of the driest and most over cooked meat selection you've ever seen. After selecting which version of jerky you prefer, you'll then receive the tiniest portion of meat in your food you've seen since the great depression. I know this is a storewide issue because I had 3 different people on each of my visits make my food. Someone is stressing these pathetic portion sizes on the employees. On one visit I even watched the employee take 2 tiny pieces of meat off my tortilla when they felt it was too much. Being that strict with portions is a sign something has gone terrible wrong on the back end of the operation. This is why I don't really blame the employees for being so visibly miserable. They're obviously working for terrible bosses either in management or corporate. Ended up paying nearly $15 for the saddest food I think Auburn has to offer. When checking out they'll also ask if you want to pay $0.10 for a paper bag. Why $0.10 instead of the $0.08 the state tax actually is for paper bags? Who knows but it considering the business model of this place seems to be gouge your wallet while giving you scraps, I'm not surprised they're demanding another $0.02 to pocket if you want to be able to carry your meal out of the store. While writing this review I decided to look up who owns Qdoba and it turns out it was purchased by Butterfly Equity in 2022. Imagine my shock that another beloved restaurant has become trash under the supervision of a private equity firm. That explains why they feel they need the extra $0.02 for the bag. You the customer wont notice it but it adds up on their end over the year. Penny pinching is the business model to owners like this. There's a Chipotle, multiple Taco Times & Taco Bells, and dozens of real Mexican restaurants/taco trucks in Auburn. All of which are infinitely better than this Qdoba. Don't waste your money here.

lady manager is a karen extremely rude service. Mistry is the lady who denied the promo to us. Denied me a promotion because she didnt want to give food away at a discount/promo price. Extremely rude customer service. She took up the entire cash register not helping her employees at all. The manager herself made this an awfaul experience
