- MBMatilda BrooksSep 19, 20262.0Don't recommend their Safeway delivery option. Items selected and purchased are suggestions, evidently. (the app doesn't show a list of items that were not selected), so you get whatever the Safeway employee can find. The shopping experience started rough: when the shopper did this weird thing...where they put one perishable item in the cart when they start shopping (to start what I am assuming is a production timer). My phone notified me--that eggs were sitting out for 20 mins before other items were added. Seems unsafe. I called about my order missing items and felt stupid when the employee kept citing the receipt (which never came in the bags) and then I just gave up on caring. Safeway hires Uber drivers to deliver anyways, so now I will just use that service. I'd rather deal with Uber shoppers than whatever this experience is supposed to be. My member price savings and Safeway for U rewards are very different on the digital receipts for some reason. Seems like Safeway makes a lot of money--knowing Anacortes has a lot of elderly and disabled citizens to leech off of with this service.

After dealing with the corporate customer service line the other half of my order was never delivered. Chris took it upon himself to deliver my grocery items. Thank you Chris that was greatly appreciated!
