  Where do I begin...check into Embassy Suites--dog friendly, but nothing on-site is...not even a chair ouside at the end of an outside bar. They recommended Murphy's...I'm 1/3 Scottish anyway and was wearin' a Guiness hat so walked a bit down the Boardwalk. Murphys--great outdoor patio...really big, shaded areas, fire pits, nevermind the beer. Speaking of that, $2 off happy hour UK beer (Guiness, Kilkeny, Harp) and 1/2 off wings--but the blow your mind order--75 cent oysters...and HH is 7 days/week. I'm sold. Great service, good crowd, nice vibe / ambiance -- music piped outside. Just great! 5 stars!

  Went with our small dog 🐕. Saw a few other people with dogs. Ordered the Irish Ruban burger 🍔 pretty good. Just a block from the beach boardwalk.

  What a wonderful local restaurant. They have lunch specials and a nice assortment of authentic Irish choices. They make authentic shepherds-pie with lamb! Also home made apple crisp. We were there Tuesday night which has weekly 7pm trivia with Nick. 9pm had live music. On site free parking. Accessible bathrooms. JulieF was our server. She was amazing! Great service, checked on us often, great suggestions, lovely smile and disposition. When we visit VB next time, we will definitely return. Lady with purple hair.

  Nice outdoor seating. Took a long time for anyone to come to take our order and when the food arrived, it was tasteless (rhe6xook must have forgotten to salt the fish) and the fries were soft and mushy. The cider was good so that yields an extra star.

  Gross, unsanitary, and unsafe. A hotbed of unaccountability and DUI's waiting to happen. Walking into Murphy's at 6pm on a Saturday evening I immediately noticed how many drunk people were in the restaurant and not like cheerful, rowdy, and drunk but literally falling out of their seats onto the floor drunk. I also noticed how dirty the place was, the restaurant was very dark and you could tell how dirty it was even in the dark. After being there an hour there was a commotion at a table in the main dining area, a young man stood up and ran outside. He was vomiting just outside of the foyer (7pm). Throughout the evening there was a middle aged woman that kept falling down and passing out. Even though she was blackout drunk the bar kept bringing her drinks. Eventually she blacked out again falling onto the stage, and knocking a bunch of the band's equipment over as well as knocking other patrons over (10pm). This is when I noticed there was one security person to try and police roughly 200 over-served intoxicated people. The police did show up at one point, it looked like they were looking for someone but ended up leaving. The only reason I stayed as long as I did was because the band was so good. When you see the atmosphere that Murphy's encourages you get an idea of why there's so many problems at the ocean front. I imagine nothing will change until someone gets hurt or worse.
