- AAAndrewSep 26, 20261.0Private equity ruins everything. Jimmy John’s used to be a great value. Now it’s nearly $10 for a noticeably smaller sandwich that looks like it should cost $5. At the same price, competitors give you substantially more. Classic private-equity formula: buy a good brand, raise prices, shrink the product, and coast on the name until customers stop showing up.

We ordered the Turkey Tom. So lame. Not sure how they can justify selling this as if it’s a legit sandwich. Also…no ice in our iced tea. Ice is in the name for Christ sake. As the economy gets worse, places with poor service and small portion sizes will be the first to go. Good riddance.
