  Wish I could give 0 stars. This is my second time visiting this Food Lion and having an uncomfortable experience with the same employee at the register. Not my second time at the store. I’m always there and there are other pleasant employees Today, I went to the register, placed all of my items on the conveyor belt, and waited to be checked out. The employee came from inside the store and proceeded to check inside my basket. I asked him what he was doing, and he stated that he “wanted to see if I left something.” My question is: Why was I being singled out and checked when the customer directly in front of me was not treated the same way? This is not the first time I have had an issue with this employee, which is why I am taking this seriously. I will be filing a formal complaint with corporate, and I sincerely hope the department manager or store manager reviews the surveillance footage from this interaction and addresses the situation appropriately. I should not have to repeatedly defend myself or question whether I am being treated differently because of my race while simply shopping in a store. He gets red at the site of anyone that doesn’t look like him. I will continue documenting and reporting these incidents until this matter is properly addressed. Racial discrimination should not be tolerated, and I expect Food Lion to take this complaint seriously. It’s highly offensive and I don’t need anything from a store that I can’t afford to pay for!

  Very well maintained store Everything I needed was easy to find. Check out was a breeze.
