If you want to eat lentils, don't waste your time.
Want to break your tooth? Come here and try the lentils!
Food is mid, cooked poorly 80% of the time. Management is mid 100% of the time. Save your money and go elsewhere, or spend the gas and drive to Lynnhaven and cross your fingers.

Granted, I've only eaten here once, and my wife and I had similar dishes. However, we came expecting Mediterranean and found it to be more like Chipotle on a pita. If someone had brought me the food without the Cava bag, I would have guessed that it came from Chipotle.
The grilled chicken had no grilled flavor; it was a spicy seasoned chicken more reminiscent of Mexican than Mediterranean. Many of the sides and garnishes would be right at home at Chipotle.
Maybe some of their other proteins and dishes are closer to Mediterranean, but next time, we'll stick with our favorite Mediterranean restaurant. The wait may be longer, but the food and even the prices are better.
The food tasted fine but was far from what we expected.

I’ve been coming here a lot now since trying them the first time. Staff are always friendly and give you a good portion of food, and the lamb meatballs are 🔥. Lu had great customer service too as he showed me how to set up my rewards account. Definitely recommend this Cava.

Came in today (5/8/26) around 4 pm. I explained to the guy at the front that I would be ordering a pita with no meat, and my protein would be the lentils only, so I asked him if I would be charged extra if I got rice on it too since that’s technically 2 bases (no idea why they have such a dumb rule like this when rice and lentils are literally the cheapest foods on the planet). The guy looked at me like I had five heads and straight up did not answer my question like actually just ignored what I said while making direct eye contact and staring blankly at me. It👏was👏so👏freaking👏weird👏!!
Seriously the most perplexing thing I may have ever experienced at a restaurant…especially one that involves direct communication with the person making my food.
After giving me the stare down and silent treatment, he proceeded to put the lentils and rice on my pita, going back and forth from the register so he could ring up extra charges for the scant amount he was adding, despite me asking for more, since, again, I was not adding ANY other protein but the lentils, so more than a tablespoon was what I was asking for which isn’t asking much 👌🏼
Because he kept going back and forth between each topping and punching stuff into the computer, I found myself speaking into a void as he was walking away. This happened at least 3 times. Very weird.
He was doing all this while not saying a word and looking spaced out almost like he was on something or didn’t speak English or was simply being extra rude. Then at the end when it got to the sauces I got a little confused and asked for the crazy feta. He again looked up at me and stared blankly not moving, not saying a word. After about 10 seconds of awkward silence and an uncomfortable staring contest, I repeated myself again and said “do you guys not have that orrr?” He then said “no, these are the only sauces we have” and pointed to the sauces list, instead of just explaining that the crazy feta was a spread and not a sauce. I find it odd that he was gonna just act like they didn’t have it at all until I made the realization it was a spread vs sauce. (Again, don’t know why this company makes things more complicated than they need to be for what’s supposed to be for a simple assembly-line style restaurant).
Bottom line: totally bizarre experience. Never been treated like that before. It’s honestly surprising Cava would hire staff like that…also want to add that my pita was sloppy and toppings were spilling out from both sides. Messy and hard to eat.
I definitely won’t be returning back to this location. It left a really bad taste in my mouth with some of the WORST customer service I’ve experienced anywhere.

I live in town center, so for the past year we frequently come here. Came in today, food taste amazing btw, but was given one scoop of rice.. I asked for a little more and she told me she had to charge me for it.. you could literally count the rice in my bowl. At this point I was already prepared for the meat to be skimped. I asked for half and half per usual, and she counted each piece of steak she put in my bowl. Scooped some chicken and I kid you not took half the spoon off. I just started eating and my meat is already gone like bro lol. Yall gotta do better for $20 bowls of food 😭, it doesn’t come out of your paycheck.
