5 Stars!! Because Some of Us Still Know How to Act in Public
I've been shopping at this Food Lion for 30 years. Thirty. Years. And in that time, Ms. Rosa and Jackie have greeted me more times than I can count, with a smile, a hello, and what I can only describe as the patience of actual saints. They deserve a raise, a trophy, and probably a therapy stipend for dealing with the rest of us.
Now, I made the mistake of reading the reviews before writing this one. Danielle is personally offended that a cashier, described in unsettling detail, right down to the hair color and mask, didn't respond enthusiastically enough to her hello. LMAO!!!! Tiara felt the need to put a manager's full name in all caps, which is a choice.
And then there's Jennifer. Oh Jennifer... lol The Queen of Food Lion!!! A Local Guide. 51 reviews deep. Who walked into a grocery store, decided the employees weren't radiating enough joy, and left a one-star review, capped off with a warning that she will personally "give back the same energy" next time. Jennifer, I want you to sit with that for a moment. You issued a threat. To people whose job is to sell you milk. You didn't call a hotline. You didn't speak to a manager. You went home, opened Google, and declared war on a Food Lion. And somewhere in all of that, you never once stopped to ask! Maybe I'm the energy? Duh!!!!!
These employees show up every single day. They stock, they scan, they bag and they do it through every mood, every complaint, and apparently every Jennifer that walks through the door. If they're not performing happiness on demand, good. They're human beings, not a vending machine with a smile button!!!!
Ms. Rosa, Jackie!! Y'all are the OG!!! Thank you for all your hard work, all the years of helping me and watching my babies grow up... oh and putting up with the likes of us!! Especially you Jennifer. Lol 👀 🤣😇🥰
