I regularly order breakfast from this location, including an emu breakfast for myself and a grilled cheese sandwich for my wife. My wife is allergic to American cheese. From the beginning, I explained this and was told that the cheese could not be removed unless I called ahead. I understood and have made an effort to call ahead almost every time to request the sandwich without American cheese. Unfortunately, today I was in a rush and forgot to call in advance. When I received the sandwich, it contained American cheese. I politely and calmly explained to the manager that my wife is allergic and asked if the sandwich could please be remade. Instead of handling the situation professionally, the manager spoke to me rudely, made me feel uncomfortable, and told me I would have to pay for another sandwich because they “do not waste food.” I was not rude at any point during this interaction. I simply asked, respectfully, for a remake due to a serious allergy concern. The way I was spoken to was unprofessional and unacceptable, especially coming from a manager. This is not the first time I have felt uncomfortable interacting with this individual, and this situation has been ongoing for weeks. It feels as though there may be a personal issue, even though all I want is to pick up my food and leave without problems. I am very disappointed by how this was handled. Food allergies are serious, and customers should be treated with respect. I strongly believe managers should receive better training in customer service, professionalism, and handling allergy-related situations. I have attached a photo of the manager for identification purposes. I hope this matter is taken seriously, as I would like to continue ordering from this location without feeling disrespected. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
