I shop here weekly and was often impressed with the staff. I purchased a large and expensive cut of meat that turned out to be rancid upon opening. The pork loin in question was food lion brand. It was within date. I returned its package and asked them to return my money and to honor their freshness guarentee. The manager on duty would not return my money, indicating he would have to look me up on the cameras to see when id purchased it to make sure i was telling him the truth. To be fair i did not have my reciept, but the freshness guarentee is a catch all. I do not steal food and the 30$ pork loin 100% would have made me or my family sick. It was rotten. I couldnt remember which day id purchased it so he told me i was out of luck. I shop at this store 2 or 3 times a week guarenteed. I know the morning cashiers by name. I dont steal food, and i dont harass people, but its okay for Food Lion to sell me maggoty meat and tell me to eat it because i didnt keep a slip of paper. I had your package, it was well within date, im sorry i didnt keep the meat itself or i would have been happy to bring it into your store. I promise your other customers would not have appreciated it. I will not be returning to not only this location, i will be shopping somewhere else from now on. You are an untrustworthy establishment. I know you wont care, but groceries are expensive and im not paying money for rotten food. Ill be shopping somewhere else. You should be very disappointed in both your store and your team. Have a nice day.
