Then she put it in the bag and slammed it onto the counter. I couldn't account for the attitude until I reflected that I had not put a tip on the receipt. It is my belief that a tip should be given when excellent customer service is received. I had to get my drink. I had to get my condiments. I had to get my napkins so what was I tipping them for? They're already getting paid for preparing my food. And a five guys is one of the most expensive burger places out there. You pay double what you would pay anywhere else. I will not be returning to that five guys.

The only products we offer that contain gluten are our buns, hot dogs (Canada only), HP sauce (UK only), and the malt vinegar condiment for our fries. In Canada, our Poutine Gravy condiment also contains gluten. All of our sandwiches, including burgers, hot dogs and the veggie sandwich, are available without a bun via our wrap or bowls.

Why does Five Guys have peanuts for free?
Serving peanuts for free began as a way for people to pass the time while they waited for us to cook up their meals (way back in the day, before smartphones). It was such a hit, and has become such a Five Guys tradition, that we keep our stores stocked with peanuts to this day.

Leftover fries are excellent reheated in the oven (or Air Fryer). According to Chad Murrell, one of the Five Guys, just pop them in a 350-degree oven for about 10-15 minutes.
