  I've used this Food Lion for a few years, mostly for pickup orders through instacart and was always satisfied with the pickup service. As of late Everytime I have used the service it's been horrible. It's isn't an issue with instacart, or whom shops for items. It's the waiting and waiting for a carrier to come with your groceries after you've notified them that you are on the way and notify them you've arrived. I've waited almost an hour before trying to be understanding that issues happen, short staffed, etc. however this evening 5/7/2026 I had two cars ahead of me one which went and retrieved his own pickup order the other left after I'd been waiting for 30 minutes without their items. I tried calling the number they provide for assistance, no answer. I left after 45 minutes. I'm terminally I'll And unfortunately Don't have the ability to get out and retrieve my items. Once I was home I called the number to the store location and was asked to hold right after I explained why I was calling and asking for the order to be cancelled and refunded. I was able to hear everyone talking laughing, even talking about going on break. Then a young man picked up and begin explaining I needed to call back in the AM to speak with AMY, that she could would be able to assist me, I asked for a manager on duty now and was told that the manager on duty couldn't help me I had to call back tomorrow AM, I asked whom I was speaking with and he gave his name and explains he was a cashier. I asked to speak to manager on duty which I was transferred to. "Special" I believe she said her name was, not sure I heard her correctly, but she is the manager on duty 5/7/2026 7:30 ish PM. She instructed me to contact instacart, and cancel my order that there was no need to call back in the morning because I would get told the same thing. I tried to get across to her that instacart wasn't the problem they did what they were supposed to. That had it not been a lack of their customer service I wouldn't need to cancel and be refunded. I asked for her district managers name, because the whole thing her attitude, her explanation, and the fact that when I went through the instacart app with the issue it connects to the Food Lion. I'm not going to lie I was irritated, frustrated and she could tell in my voice even though I never got loud with her, never cursed, I just kept asking her questions and ultimately for some one else over her that I could talk to she hung up in my face. Online it says that DARRY RIMMER is the district manager of that location. I've now been inconvenience for three and half hours between contacting instacart that insists to contact the store. Meanwhile I do not have items that I paid for nor my funds in which I paid. Thank you Special for your great customer service can't wait until I get to tell your manager how well you run their store and his manager and his manager. I may not have much time left but I got plenty of time to ensure everyone knows what kind of service Food Lion 110o Courthouse Rd gives.

  The staff is always very friendly but the manager there is rude and cannot seem to manage a front end correctly. Today I literally watched her talk crap about an older man after he left. He had to use the self check out because there were no cashiers and the self checkout does not give cash back. He clearly wasn’t familiar with the process but had no other choice. After he walked away the manager made a dramatic scene about “don’t people understand what no cash back means?” Loudly while waving her arms and looking to other associates for validation. Not to mention, ever since she has been manager, the front end has slowly declined. Most days I drive to the next closest foodlion just so I don’t have to wait in a line with only self checkout opens for 20 mins to pick up one item.

  Hello , I’m a delivery guy from Uber eats , yesterday's afternoon I went for a pick up , a ladies whit curlie orange hair attended me and said will be just one minute please . Well I waited for 20 min and ask who apparently was de manager a black ladie who told me she was sorry it will take only five more minutes ( we’re an 30 min waiting ) then not 5 bu almost 10 min later she ask me to get a cart ready so the stuff will be ready in a minute, guess what 10 min latter the same ladie that talk to me first ( orange hair ) come to me and tell me , i think no you should cancel the order it’s going to be a while!!! Obviously I got upset!!! Waited for almost 40 min , and there attitude just said TUFF when I complaint and ask for a manager attention. Now the ladie whit the orange hair claim to be the manager. YOU SHOULD NOT LIE TO CUSTOMERS, if is not ready we can cancel and get going , but don’t make us wait for nothing and waist our time !!
