On two separate occasions, I purchased pork chops from this location that were spoiled. After returning the first pack, I purchased another pack, only to get home and discover that those were spoiled as well. This is completely unacceptable, especially when it comes to meat and food safety. After having the same experience twice, I no longer feel comfortable purchasing meat—or groceries in general—from this location. Unfortunately, I will no longer be shopping at this Food Lion. I’ll be taking my business to Publix, where I have had a much better experience with the freshness and quality of their products. Food Lion really needs to address the quality and freshness of the meat being sold at this location.

I have been getting discouraged every time I go to the Deli, they are never around or act like they do not want you to ask them to do any slicing of sandwich meats. The meat department is ridiculously empty half the time and when you need something they are always too busy or waiting for someone to come in. All the rest of the Food Lions I have been in Emporia and Courtland are very well stocked and willing to help. This food lion needs help badly and I am not the only one that is upset with this location in Petersburg, VA. I will be doing my shopping from now on in Courtland Food Lion!
