  I stop here once a year, very good selection, typical prices.

  It was very hard to shop with most every isle blocked with people unloading products onto the shelf. And since we only shop at that location once or twice a year, we are not too familiar with the layout and where certain things are. When asking where something was, it seemed that we were putting people out by asking them. And the woman who checked us out was beyond rude. She snapped at us to keep certain things in the cart, stating if it doesn't get bagged we are to leave it in the cart and she will go scan it with the wand. We obviously did not know that. Plus when we asked if something was part of a BYGO offer, she said I'm checking I'm checking just wait a second. It was all to overwhelming and I could tell by other shoppers that they felt the same way. Many people grumbling to themselves and rolling their eyes.

  Don't do your shopping on Chincoteague Island. Spend the 10 minutes driving and a lot of money. $7.00 for a gallon of milk on the Island. $3.95 here. Talk about price gouging.

  Well... not all the fault of the local store... BUT... they did not help the situation. Called in a order for delivery around 10am when leaving Richmond. Charged for it but said it didn't go through. Tried again, same result. Called and they said Apple Pay was the problem... would not take a new card over the phone and had to back and redo again. Third time went through and off on vacation we went! Delivery was scheduled for 4-5... app says waiting for a delivery driver to be assigned (meaning order is fullfilled) 6:30 call to see what is going on, told because we ordered a 12 pack, they needed a special driver and that that was the issue... asked to cancel that and was told that was impossible. Asked if we could pick it up, transfered to the store and told yes, from someone at the store. Drive off the island to get our stuff and call from the parking lot, after ringing for several minutes, someone picks up, give them the info and told ok. After waiting 10+ minutes and noticing the car next to us had not gotten theirs, checked with them, they had been waiting a half hour. Walk inside and they have a closed hand written sign on the customer service counter... so I wait there. A clerk came over and asks if she can help. I say we are waiting for a pickup order and she asks for info, I give it and she is on her cell phone and tells me it will be 1 hour plus to get it filled... I say it should be ready based on the phone call to that store, she says someone will come out to assist me... the manager comes over to see what is going on. I fill him in and he apologized but says that they are slammed and cannot stop the app from taking orders... the associate in charge of filling the orders came to the manager and myself and started to fill the order... which took another 25 minutes, and several things were substituted or out. I know it's the holiday weekend and they had been dealt a bad hand at the store level, but Food Lion failed at every level and cost us four+ hours of our vacation.

  Visited while on vacation. They do have self checkout. Overall good selection and pretty well in stock
