Unfortunately, our first impression of this restaurant was extremely disappointing.
When we arrived, we stood near the entrance for several minutes without being acknowledged. Three employees made eye contact with us but did not greet us or let us know whether we should wait to be seated. We eventually had to ask a waitress if we were supposed to seat ourselves, and her response came across as annoyed that we had even asked.
After seating ourselves, we reviewed the menu but were never offered water or acknowledged. We watched employees pass our table multiple times. Eventually, after the waitress walked by for the third time, I had to raise my voice and say, “Excuse me.” She looked back and said she would be with us shortly. When I asked if she was our waitress, she responded that “they all were,” which was confusing considering no one had checked on us up to that point.
Meanwhile, a party of four that arrived after us was seated, given drinks, and had their order taken before anyone came back to take ours.
When the waitress finally returned, I asked what she recommended from the menu. Her response was simply, “Everything is good.” When I asked what was most popular, she again responded that literally everything was good. The interaction felt rushed and dismissive rather than welcoming or helpful.
Against my better judgment, we stayed and ordered. The experience did improve somewhat as the evening went on, but first impressions matter, and unfortunately, this one was enough that I will not be returning.
Even as we were leaving, we noticed other guests receiving a friendly “thank you” and “see you soon,” while we were not acknowledged in the same way.
This was a Monday evening, and the restaurant was not overly crowded. I would encourage management to review the cameras from this evening, as they should clearly show the lack of acknowledgment and service we experienced from the time we entered.
I’m sharing this review in hopes that management uses the feedback to improve the experience for future customers. Whatever the issue was this evening, every guest should at minimum feel acknowledged and welcomed when they walk through the door.
