In 1966, Louis Seretis purchased a small confectionary. He named it Orapax for the street upon which the front door opened. Longshoremen, railroad workers, and other locals came to play pool and purchase medicine, cigars, beer, and a "Poormans Sandwich", spam and cheese on white bread. In 1973 Louis replaced the sandwich with his own original Greek pizza. The result was truly astonishing! Orapax become known throughout Norfolk as "The Place to Eat". His son Nick joined him in the family business in 1982. Now some 50 years later Nicks’ daughter Nicole is walking in her father's and Grandfather's shoes. Orapax is their dining room. Welcome to our house!

I've been eating here since the '90s. Food is delicious and authentic. The atmosphere is good. The service staff was great! However, when I have to pay an additional $0.75 for tzatziki sauce when I order a platter and they give me one little bitty container (about a half a teaspoon) and when I asked for more tzatziki sauce. Which is no different than ketchup on a hamburger, and you charge me an additional $0.75 on a $125.00 bill. My answer to that is I will not return and you should buy medicine with your $0.75 up charge. This is not Greek hospitality!

Food was great gyro and my wife ordered chicken with wild rice-the chicken was great the rice tasted out of a pre made bag! Not the old fashioned way, giving up taste for cost-the blight of many restaurants.....so sad.....
