  Place was super packed today A lot of empty things on the shelves, because their truck was running late.They were out of what I needed So i didn't buy anything and left.

  My family and I went grocery shopping at this location and was treated with the upmost disrespect from the customer service manager. We have never experienced anything like this in any of the Food Lion in this area. The customer service manager Ty assumed my husband was trying to shoplift, so she followed him through out the store while we were shopping together along with our daughter. Although we all were in different aisles looking at items we needed to purchased, Ty took upon herself to just follow my husband around unaware that we all were together shopping. As he made his way to the checkout lane, I witness Ty asking customers in the store if my husband was bothering them they each replied no, I didn't know she was talking about my husband until she approached me and my husband while I was in checkout line. She asked my husband if he had a problem and if he wasn't shopping he need to leave. Utterly shock my husband was taken back & decided to step away. When he walked away from me in the checkout line she immediately asked me and the cashier if he was bothering us, The cashier response saying my husband looked like a weirdo & she felt uncomfortable by his presence, I told her no he wasn't bothering & why did she asked me that & she turned around said she believes he was trying to steal. This really rubbed me the wrong way then I asked her how did she come to that assumption and she replied because he was just standing in different locations looking around.... My response really???? I told her that he was my husband and he was with me & our daughter who also at the same checkout line ahead of us. Ty scrubbed her shoulder then walked away rolling her eyes. My daughter then asked the cashier why would she call her father a weirdo and if someone was being falsely accused of stealing how would she feel?Cashier rolled her eyes continuing to check us out & appeared annoyed by us at this point. It was mind blowing to me that my husband was racially profiled by the store customer service manager and blatantly disrespected by the cashier by calling him a weirdo and mind you she was a black woman as well. We made a complaint with both the managers that was on duty at the time Tina I'm not sure if she addressed the issue but Bert the other manager who is also a black man, made it seem like it was no big deal & and took up for his employees behavior by saying they get weird people there all the time. I'm grateful that this did not escalate to law enforcement being called out because of a false accusation. We did make our complaint to corporate with the hopes that this never happens to anyone again at that store. Personally, I will never shop their again.

  I ordered groceries here. I called the store the moment I got home because I was missing items. More then one item of different varieties of products to be more specific. I called in, same day, just to see if they forgot a bag and was I was brushed off. Told me the refund will show up in the final summarization email of the receipt. Well one week later, I never received the refund. And I'm far too discouraged to try and call again. Also, The staff were annoyed they had to bring the food out (I waited 30 minutes) until my husband got out the car to help. I will not order groceries from a store who staff gets irritated over groceries..... Doesn't make any sense. Not the first time I've faced attitude for their employees, but it is the last.

  I like coming to this food lion because of the proximity to where I live, however the smell outside of the business due to employees smoking outside is a bit much. It’s not a good look to have employees smoking outside of the business and it’s also unprofessional . It’s a horrible smell and having to walk past it is truly difficult . I’m not sure who the management here but they truly need to get a handle on this!
