  The experience I had with a couple cashiers at this store was very unpleasant. I tried to pay with an S3 OTC benefit card barcode. I have paid with this method at dozens of FL locations. Even in different states. I know it works. The cashier was unfamiliar with it, and couldn’t figure out how to make it work on the register, so she asked a co-worker and instead of trying to figure it out… They treated me like I was the idiot and just insisted it wasn’t a method they took. Was pretty humiliating. If there was any type of proper register training, I would have not been treated in such a way. I didn’t even get my groceries, had to drive to another FL…that had no issue processing my transaction btw.

  You may need to listen to your employees talking amongst themselves. Horribly insensitive conversation at the register between two younger employees where the young man at the tobacco/express check out line made some disparaging comments about military veterans and categorized them as “always the ones getting arrested”. I explained to him that he shouldn’t make comments like that and that the overwhelming majority of veterans are not like what he was describing. Even though he made the comment with me standing right in front of him, when I called him out about it, his only response was that he didn’t say it. Sad. You should have a talk with the young man at the register.
