Why do all 4 food lions near me lack self checkout? It is 2026 for crying out loud. There's always a line when I just need to dip in and out for a couple of things. 😑

Love foodlion but just a little cleaning in parking lot and entrance would make it so much nicer

There was 2 lanes open and I was waiting in one for 10-15 minutes. When it was finally my turn, I started putting my items on the belt to check out. The employee then said “my register is closed”. The register next to it then opened, and everyone behind me in line went to the open register before I had the chance to. I then had to wait in a long line a SECOND TIME. Couldn’t have handled it any better??

Recently long lines, broken self -check machines and understaffing have made what was a grocery store extremely unpleasant
