  Great experience overall at Divan. The restaurant has a more upscale atmosphere and the Persian food was delicious. Prices are a little on the higher side, but the quality and service make up for it. One of our orders got mixed up, and the chef personally came to our table to apologize, which was a very classy and professional gesture. The staff was very friendly and attentive the whole time. I definitely recommend this place, especially if you enjoy authentic Iranian food. Make sure to call ahead for a reservation on weekends because they get very busy.

  We had about 16 guests for dinner, none of them had a good time there ! Appetizers were like a Cat is vomiting and the food was not something desirable or tasty, and some chicken kabab was uncooked. I have been in many restaurants some really excellent and some not so good But Believe me that was one of the worst place I have ever been in terms of food and the service . I ‘m sure not only they don’t use good ingredients but they don’t have a good skilled chefs ! We paid about fourteen hundred dollars for something nobody could eat or enjoy !!

  Came here for Mother’s Day lunch with family and we all really enjoyed it. The space itself is beautiful and feels very welcoming. Lots of turquoise accents, dark wood tones, natural light, and an overall warm atmosphere that makes you want to sit and stay awhile. The host was very kind when we arrived and the service throughout the meal was attentive and friendly too. We ordered a pretty big spread for the table. For appetizers we got the maste borani with beets, kashke bademjoon, and zeytoon parvardeh. All were great and perfect for sharing. Also the olive spread and the saffron butter with the Barbari bread was A+ For mains we tried the adas polo with mahiche, juje kabab with bone, tahchin with chicken, sea bass, and kubideh with rice. The standout favorites from our group were definitely the adas polo and the juje kabab with bone. Both were excellent and they were the dishes everyone kept talking about after the meal. I do want to give honest feedback on the Tahchin because I was especially excited for it. The texture itself was good, but the flavor had a spice profile, maybe cumin or something similar, that just was not what I personally expect from tahchin. I usually love a more saffron forward aroma and flavor, and this one missed the mark for me and a few others at the table. It just was not our preference, though I know everyone’s palate is different so I would not lower the rating over that alone. Dessert and drinks were also lovely. We had baklava and café glacé, but the absolute star for me was the mango mint sekanjebin. Genuinely one of the best drinks I have tried in a long time and I would come back just for that. Overall everyone else was very happy with their food and experience, and we would absolutely come back again for another special occasion.

  I cannot say enough good things about Divan Restaurant. We ate there twice. The food is absolutely amazing. They have mastered the art of combining highest quality spices to present exquisite flavors, in every item we tried. Not only the flavors, but how they felt while eating them. I especially recommend the Eggplant & Whey Spread (I actually wound up eating this "spread" with a spoon instead of dipping the bread, it was that delicious) the Lamb Shank, the Koobideh (incredibly tender), the Herb and Beef Stew (so lucious), and the Potato Souffle. EVERY item was a masterpiece. The complimentary warm bread is wonderful, served with butter mixed with some honey and olive tempenade. The service is extremely responsive, careful, friendly, flexible, and easy to catch; it is very well staffed, no shortage of service. They treated us like royalty. I'm not exaggerating. And the atmosphere is festive and relaxing. This restaurant has my highest endorsement and strongest and most sincere recommendation. BRAVO!

  We had the absolute pleasure of celebrating my daughter‘s wedding last weekend at Divan. I cannot give this venue enough credit for making the reception Everything we could’ve possibly dreamed of and more! My daughter had taken me here about a month prior to the event to try the food and cocktails that were going to be served at her reception. We received top-notch service and were treated so well (thank you Erica!!) The reception was over the top, the food was amazing, and David and Cyrus were absolute joys to work with! We truly did not want the night to end. I am sad that I am located in Texas and cannot visit this place as often as I would like but you can be sure that anytime I come to Virginia to visit my daughter we will make this a routine visit! Thank you Divan for your hospitality and for every ounce of detail you poured into this event! Glad we were able to handle the deposit issue. Angela
