Im having a hard time reviewing this place because A. I’m a professional cook who runs a kitchen and B. I grew up eating here. C. I know how a bad review can have on an establishment Ate here Sunday night. What’s sad is my guy and I came here for the nostalgia (grew up eating pizza here in the 90s) . We both ordered Caesar Salad, mozz sticks, and each got a pasta dish. Caesar salad was yellow- and overly dressed to cover up the very obvious expired romaine. We probably had 6 bites total. It tasted like honey mustard and Caesar. Not the Caesar I remember eating years ago. Mozz sticks came, they were fine. Garlic knots also fine. Pasta came. I got a sicilaliano eggplant pasta. The first thing that hit me was the overly raw garlic scent. Found a whole clove of uncooked garlic in the pasta itself. It was bagged garlic that was turning bad. I know this scent. Not only that- it tasted like it came out of the freezer and into a microwave. BF had veal parm. He said it tasted freezer burned. Hes also in the restaurant business. He took a bite of mine and lost his appetite. I told our server that the pasta tasted way off. I don’t want to get into details or make anyone feel bad. We paid for the whole meal- she took something off but not much. Long story short- we got food poisoning from something which I’m guessing was the romaine. I’m not trying to get anyone in trouble I’m really not- but what I am here to say is that food safety is a real thing and you shouldn’t serve paying customers bad food. That’s that.

Very cute place with excellent with excellent customer service. If the food was as good as those two things, you would have a hit on your hands!

Fantastic food & service. Growing up in Philly where Italian culture & food is premium, this place is great nostalgia. Portions are a great size too.

I grew up in an Italian neighborhood outside of Albany, NY and I felt like I was back home at Monte Carlo. The atmosphere was perfect! I got the baked ziti and it was so delicious! We live walking distance to an Italian restaurant, but now I'd rather drive the 25 minutes for a Monte Carlo meal!
