The best Indian food I have had since moving here! You know it is going to be good when everyone else coming in and going out is Indian. Great food! Great Value! Spent about $25 per person, but got enough food for two meals.
We had lunch at Navarasa in Richmond, and it was absolutely delicious! We ordered the Mutton Biryani, Chicken Biryani, Jalapeño Chicken, and Dynamite Chicken—every single dish was flavorful and cooked to perfection.
The biryani tasted incredibly authentic, just like a true Hyderabadi biryani. Every bite brought back memories of Hyderabad and its amazing food. If you’re craving authentic Hyderabadi flavors, this place is definitely worth a visit. Highly recommended!

I had a wonderful experience at Navrasa Restaurant! The egg puffs were absolutely delicious—fresh, crispy, and full of flavor. The restaurant is also very kid-friendly, which made our visit comfortable and enjoyable for the whole family.
A special thanks to the gentleman who served us. He was incredibly friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service throughout our visit. His hospitality made the experience even better.
I highly recommend Navrasa to anyone looking for great food, a welcoming atmosphere, and outstanding customer service!
I recently ordered the Mutton Marag and was disappointed with the portion and value for the price. For $16, the dish came with half a naan, a bowl of soup, and only two pieces of mutton bone with almost no meat on them.
The soup itself was good, and I mentioned that to the staff member who checked on my table. However, I also asked whether it was normal for the dish to contain only two mostly meatless bones. The response I received was, "Since it is a dry season, we are not cooking more these days." I didn't fully understand what that meant, and it didn't really address my concern about the portion.
As someone from Hyderabad, India, I have enjoyed authentic Mutton Marag many times, and this version did not meet my expectations. The biggest issue was not the flavor of the soup, but the lack of meat in a dish that is supposed to feature mutton.
If meat was limited or unavailable, I would have appreciated being informed beforehand or being advised to choose a different menu item. At this price point, I expected much better value. There are other restaurants in the area that provide a more satisfying meal for the same cost.
I hope the restaurant reconsiders how this dish is prepared and served. I have visited before and enjoyed some of the other menu items, but this particular dish was disappointing and not something I would order again.
