  What a cozy little place. We were evaluating places to take the grandkids and this is a good one. For 5 bucks, you get to play a variety of older nostalgic games including duck pin bowling, billiards, Pac man, Qbert, galaxy and more. Now, some of the games are in disrepair as other reviewers mention but for $5.00 unlimited play you do get your monies worth. Wife and I had lunch which was very good as well and not overly priced. To top it off, they also have a full bar. Staff is friendly and helpful.

  Why doesn't every town have a place like this? Pizza, beer and unlimited arcade games!

  This place is so close to being a cool spot, but over half of the games are broken and the duck pins were out of order. The dart boards are missing numbers and the darts are small light plastic darts it’s hard to even play. It’s a $5 cover charge per person and it wasn’t worth it. The people working there were very nice and the food was your run of the mill fried food and pizza. I wouldn’t recommend coming here until they fix this place up or if you just go for some cheap food.

  For almost 2.5 weeks I have tried planning an event for my son at Ruby's. I called and asked some questions to regular staffing because the event coordinator you can ever get ahold of in a timely fashion. My sons party needs to be held in 2 weeks & I'm lucky if I can get questions answered in less than 48 hours, by email. She refuses to call customers, where if she would call all questions could be answered at once. When calling back to Ruby's to see if I could just speak to someone there they say they can't do anything it all has to go through their coordinator. If thats the case they need to hire an event coordinator that can be avail during ALL their open hours. I wasn't asking for calls and emails while the establishment was closed but even during open hours she didnt respond. Twice she told me she would contact me by a certain day and twice she did not do what she said she would do. For this reason I am giving Ruby's a 1 star. Sadly I was never able to experience the food, atmosphere, pricing etc because I cant even get my foot in the door for a birthday party for my son. I realize this review probably doesn't matter because JMU probably keeps them plenty busy BUT hopefully this helps management see there is an issue & resolve it. If youre coordinator can not be readily available then you need to be like other establishments in this area and let other staff do booking or have online looking options. You also need to have on your website details of party packages, because it took several days just to get that info.
