  For the last month they have been doing a bait and switch with their weekly sale meats. Due to illness I have to shop curbside, I usually order on Wednesday if not on Thursday. I order dinners to make, get everything but the meats. I am getting extremely sick of this. I am done with Food Lion. Stop putting 3.99 hamburger and 9.99 ribeye and ny strips or 1.99 ribs etc in your flier if you don't have them especially day 1 or 2 of the sale. This is illegal.

  I like Food Lion. The store is clean and neat and staff is friendly. Good deals, too.

  This is the best store within the Harrisonburg area. The cleanest store within the area, and hands down has the best associates and management!!

  After reading several of these reviews, I question their accuracy. This is, without a doubt, one of the most well-run and customer-focused stores in the area. Its proximity to James Madison University naturally influences its customer base, but that does not take away from the level of service provided. That does not take away the appreciation and respect they have for the locals as well. Unlike many other locations—where customer experience, cleanliness, and product availability are inconsistent—this store consistently demonstrates a strong commitment to high standards. The staff makes a clear effort to keep shelves stocked, especially with sale items, despite limitations that are beyond their control. What many customers may not realize is that inventory is determined by warehouse distribution. When supply is limited, stores do not always receive advertised sale items. In those cases, this store often provides comparable substitutions as a way to accommodate customers and maintain value. If there is an issue, the appropriate step is to speak directly with management. They are responsive and offer solutions, including rainchecks when applicable. However, instead of taking that approach, some prefer to show up with “panties in a bunch” and take on the role of keyboard warriors—publicly criticizing a store they never gave the opportunity to resolve the concern in the first place.

  I don’t know what these other reviews are talking about this is hands down the friendliest and cleanest food lion in Harrisonburg. The store manager Marisa and the rest of the staff will bend over backwards to make sure you and your family have a wonderful shopping experience, I know I do whenever I’m in there :)
