It was busy and there were several lines with people waiting. A cashier, who was not wearing his name tag, Evan Kushner (I had to ask him his name) came out and opened a register. I hadn't yet put my groceries on the belt because there was a lady checking out and another lady in line with a basket of groceries. After Evan announced he was opening a register, I said I was next in line. He said "Well you can stay there because you're almost up to the cashier." The lady in the front of my line said, "Not really. She isn't." She offered to pay for my groceries so that I could get out of line sooner, but I declined. He started taking customers who were in line behind me. Evan engaged in a verbal exchange with me while he waiting on customers. Well Evan, I was next in line and this could have been avoided if you had taken me next. Do you think I have nothing better to do than stand in line at Food Lion after working all day. Evan work on your customer services skills and wear your nametag so you can easily be identified when people want to complain about you. The lady at the other register checked me out and thanked me for coming in without incident. I'm glad someone is willing to provide good customer service. Hey Food Lion there are many options for grocery shopping in the West End, tell Evan. One star for Evan and 4 stars for the other cashier next to him.
