Since they closed the Food Lion next to my house a few years ago, I now have to choose between 3 Food Lions each 7 or 8 minutes from my house and this is my favorite one. The staff here is very friendly, store is kept very clean and a large parking lot. Their everyday prices are cheaper than Kroger and Publix. When they run sales you can really save a lot of money.

Clean, well lit, store. Manager is super helpful and a real believer in 'servitude leadership'. Walked me to 2 obscure items personally. Even after being asked 'just let me know where it is'. Definitely better then the Food Lion closest to me! Will return!!

Today they literally had one checkout open with a line of 20 people. No self-checkout available and no express lane for customers with only a couple items. I walked out without my purchases

2PM, a few vendors, and a moderate amount of customers. There were 2 checkouts open, and of course most people decided to check out at the same time! LOL Store #2507, register 8, rcpt says "cashier 0213." Date: Aug 3, time 14:13:55. I don't know if this was her register or someone else's. I didn't get her name, but I think maybe she was a department manager based on the color of her uniform, which I think was pink. And I think she had on a different kind of name.Tag. and she had blonde hair. I had brought my own bags. So I told her if she would just slide them down. I would bag them. I was making small talk while she was checking me out; I used to be a cashier at winn dixie and I was saying that we had paper bags. And we didn't like it when the plastic bags came in, because it was faster with the paper bags. I don't know if she ever said anything to me during that time, except to tell me that the machine, where you put your credit card to pay was"waiting on me." I was also the bookkeeper, so I know it's frustrating when you have to check people out and you have other work to do. But it is still your responsibility to be polite to the customers, or you won't have to worry about having other work to do.
