Taste of India in Gainesville, VA is a Treasure. Save yourself a trip to India‼ The food is Fantastic and the service Superb‼ Today it is hard to find linen tablecloths and napkins with soothing classical Indian music playing in the background all while viewing a mural of the Taj Mahal. We are always greeted in a personable and caring manner. It has become a weekly dining experience of perfectly prepared dishes of unique Indian cuisine. The appetizers never fail to please as well as the tandoori plates and many vegetarian and Korma selections. Don't miss the Naan and desserts of carrot pudding and sweet cheese balls.

This is officially my preferred choice for Indian cuisine in the area. The restaurant has kind and attentive staff who have a clear passion for their craft. The Shrimp pakora appetizer has an amazing batter and was cooked to perfection. We really enjoyed the chutneys that accompanied the samosa and onion bhajias which were also delicious and flavorful. The korma sauce is exceptional, you can really appreciate the creaminess of the cashew and it pairs well with the lamb which is tender and boneless. If you don’t like spicy, don’t worry as the dishes are cooked to order and they allow you to choose your preferred level of spice. Don’t forget to order some naan, we found it to have a wonderful crisp on the bottom while the top was light and fluffy. Highly recommend and can’t wait to return and try additional menu items!

We visited Taste of India today and were absolutely blown away by how delicious everything was! We started with the Onion Bhajia, Vegetable Samosa, and Shrimp Pakora as appetizers, followed by the Chicken Vindaloo, and Lamb Korma for our entrées.
Every single dish was packed with flavor. Everything tasted incredibly fresh, rich, creamy, and surprisingly light—even the fried appetizers! The chicken and lamb were so incredibly tender, and the spices were perfectly balanced. We genuinely enjoyed every single bite.
We will 100% be coming back to try more of the menu. If you’re looking for delicious Indian food in Gainesville, definitely give Taste of India a try. Highly recommend! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We went in the evening to have snacks. We got Indian Chai, a plate of samosas (2 in a plate) and onion pakode. All the food items were good, hot and very tasty. The samosas were served along with mint chutney and Imli chutney. The chai does not come with sugar in it, so definitely do ask for sugar in the side if you take your chai sweet. Definitely recommend the place.
