Overall a mediocre experience. The spot was super cozy and you can’t beat the location and atmosphere. The cashier who took our order was also really nice. We ordered a tuna melt and a turkey brie fig sandwich to go, plus an iced coffee. The place wasn’t particularly busy on an early Friday afternoon.
After having waited about 20 minutes for the two sandwiches, another waiter eventually asked what I was waiting for. When I explained I had ordered two sandwiches, she checked with the kitchen and offered complimentary chips and a sincere apology, which was nice. Shortly after I had the sandwiches in hand, so there must’ve been some miscommunication to the kitchen.
While the food hit the spot, it left a lot to be desired - the extra toppings we got on the tuna melt was nowhere to be seen, and while I could faintly taste the brie in my sandwich, I couldn’t for the life of me actually see any. I was hoping for actual bits of fig on the sandwich, too, but the jam was a good second best.
While the food was satisfying for what it was, the long wait and the lack of attentiveness from the staff and kitchen left me feeling I could’ve gone elsewhere for a better experience.
