  We were hotel guests and stopped in for breakfast. It was an unfortunate experience and I wish we would have just left and eaten elsewhere. The restaurant was supposed to open at 7AM. We should up at 7:20 and the place was closed. Another lady waiting said they still had not opened and was told there didn't have any servers. A few minutes later an employee opened the doors and let the two groups waiting go inside to be seated. The waitress who made her way around the tables clearly was not properly trained and stated she had just started. We decided to order breakfast despite the warning signs. We ordered waffles and were told they were unavailable. We switched to French toast sticks which were dry and overcooked to the point our kids couldn't even stab them with a fork. The skillet was fine and the breakfast potatoes were probably the best part. We were told kids under 8 could order for free from the kids meal. When we got the check, we were charged for the kids meal. We asked for it to be removed, so the waitress took our check back. When she returned the kids meal was still there. Our of frustration and disappointment we decided to pay just to get out of there. Perhaps their dinner service is better, but I highly recommend you save your time and money and seek breakfast options elsewhere or stay at another hotel with an included breakfast buffet. On a positive note the server were friendly.

  So decided to have breakfast at Houlihan as we had family staying in the hotel from out of town. Waiter was rude came in for breakfast well before closing time, none of table or booths were clean. The waiter was rude and dismissive didn't want to seat us, with over an hour and half before they closed. The food was subpar as they were out of pretty much everything. The serve was like i Will make your daughter a fruit cup the fruit cup was a joke. Pretty much Will not do breakfast again which is a shame as dinner service I have had there was great

  This is one of my favorite restaurants in Front Royal. The stuffed mushrooms and stuffed chicken are always SO good. The service is also wonderful. It is a little on the pricier side (for my family anyway) but so worth it.

  We hesitated first to visit this restaurant/bar after reading some of the other reviews. But we were not disappointed at all. The service was excellent and very friendly. The food tasted great but be aware the starter portions are huge! We ordered the Shrooms starter to share between two of us, we got six huge mushrooms! They were delicious but we only managed to eat 3 between the two of us :-)) I ordered another starter, the wings for main course (also delicious) and I did ask not to bring me all 10 wings please, but I was told that they are pre-portioned and they cannot reduce it even though I offered to pay the full price for a lot less wings. I just think it is such a waste as we could not take anything to go when you are traveling. My husband ordered the Thai salmon for main course and that was normal portion, not too huge and delicious. Overall we would recommend and we would return again.

  We had great food and great service in a very nice setting. My wife and I took a weekend getaway and this is one of the places we tried. No disappointment. The server was very friendly and checked on us periodically. The food was very good. For my meal I started off with a loaded baked potato soup ( delicious, and very filling), and then had a French dip sandwich, while my wife got grilled salmon with a Thai glaze. We both left very satisfied and very stuffed. No room for dessert.
