  I wanted to share that Michelle is by far one of the best waitresses I’ve ever had! My family left so impressed talking about her. The only way to describe her character is she acted with the heart of an owner. To top everything off the food was GREAT!!! The chef must have the same heart & ethics as Michelle! Can I just say SALSA….wow amazing!! We wanted a bucket of it! Can I just say CHEESY POTATOES….wow amazing! Can I say HAND CUT FRIES….wow amazing! Chef Gordon Ramsey would be so proud of y’all! Thanks for making our experience something to remember and return back to!

  Had the ability to stop here on the way through the town. The waiter Aaron did a great job serving us. Great food and wonderful fries!! Great views out the window and balcony.

  We stayed in Fries for two nights and wanted to try the "Steakhouse". We arrived on a Saturday around 6pm and we had a small wait. They wanted to set us downstairs at a cramped table next to another but I asked to be seated upstairs. It was like 2 different restaurants. Downstairs was dark and lack any sort of vibe while upstairs was filled with natural light and they had live music. It was apparent the kitchen was struggling because there was several open tables upstairs but had the hostess putting guest on wait list. This restaurant has so much potential but it seems to have a bit of an identity crisis. Billed as Steakhouse but when you are seated they bring you chips and salsa? hmm....Bread service. I get. Chips and Salsa? But when I looked at menu, I saw why. A large selection of Tex Mex food. Call me confused. My wife was going to try a steak or salmon but the whole chips and salsa thing just threw us off. She ordered a Taco Salad and I tried the quesabirria. The Taco salad was a small portion and lacked flavor. My birria tacos were decent but the Mexican rice was bland. Service was adequate. This restaurant should make up its mind. I get that Fries could use a mexican restaurant but split up the two concepts. First steakhouse i have ever been to that brings you chips and salsa. Kills the whole steakhouse vibe.

  I will say, as someone who only comes to this area because of AT (army wise). This is for sure a break from the same old foods in galax ! This hidden gem is located in a beautiful small town with awesome scenery! Chori pollo, tender plate, Mac and cheese, and chimichangas. Each plate with unique great flavors and a full portion. My only critique is that I wish more queso was poured onto the chimichangas! Definitely worth a try!
