Two terrible experiences with this new bagel shop, wife went last weekend for two breakfast sandwiches and some bagels and both sandwiches were incorrect and most bagels were subbed for plain. Today I doordashed a half dozen of bagels and a breakfast sandwich only to get just the breakfast sandwich and no bagels or shmear. Will not go to again, ordered my missing bagels from Panera instead. Save your money and time they seem to be uncoordinated and not ready to be open. Bagels never seem fresh and taste rubbery.

I was really looking forward to trying Einstein Bros. Bagels, but unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. The wait was nearly an hour, not sure if they got the routine down yet I understand it is a new location and there are always learning challenges. When I finally received my food, the order was incorrect—the sausage was missing from my sandwich. I was also informed after placing my order that I needed to change my bagel selection because they had run out of my original choice.
The coffee was another letdown. It was extremely sweet, tasting more like sugar water than coffee.
Overall, this was a very poor experience from both a service and quality standpoint. There are much better breakfast options in the area. I would recommend trying Botta Bing Bagel instead, as I've had a much better experience there.

I came three times in order to form a solid opinion.
The bagels are fresh but a little small and denser compared to a true up north water bagel. The only way to get your bagel toasted is by having it double toasted and forget about a schmear, they should be fined for even using that phrase. Its very clear they do not know a schmear is a healthy application of cream cheese at least 1/4" thick. We even paid for extra cream cheese today and it still wouldn't have qualified for a schmear. I am incredibly disappointed because this area has no good bagel shops. Even Bodos in Cville doesn't do bagels right, the only one is in RVA and called Baltik's bagels. They even won best bagel at the NYC bagel competition.
The service is abysmal. It was not even busy this morning and they forgot part of our order and then handed us someone else's food. The past two times were the same, it should flow like an assembly line but they are still fumbling through the teamwork aspect.
The place has promise but I believe a corporate step in may be necessary to get everyone on the right page.

Update: the owner clearly doesn’t read these reviews because they give the same answer to every complaint and point you to a form that you CANNOT USE because the Fredericksburg store isn’t listed as an option (which I said in my original review). They offered to remake our sandwiches, I got to the store, they had a slip of paper which they put our repeat order on and put it up on the line. When I got there, there were only two people in line in front of me. Then quite a rush came in. I waited for 35 minutes while I watched people order, get their food and leave. When I went up to the counter to remind them that I was still here, nobody had even looked at the note, I was told “yeah, we had a big order” not acknowledging that I had been there 35 minutes watching people order and leave with food. We got the right sandwiches, but my sons was inedible, and my “toasted” bagel was a wee brown on the edges but not toasted (like it was taken out as it STARTED to toast. I LOVE Einstein Bros, but hit any location except for this one!!!
My son and I were excited that there was a bagel place that opened, we drove 30 minutes (each way, we’re in the country), waited in line for 35 minutes, got our sandwiches and headed home. My son didn’t get the sandwich he ordered and has an allergy to turkey so we get home and he’s got a turkey bagel, I got the Lox sandwich, asked for it toasted, not only was it not toasted, the bagel doesn’t appear to be done, it’s a sesame bagel which is WHITE, the inside is the same color than the outside and was soft and soggy. There were some workers busting their butts to work, and a couple that LITERALLY did nothing. My son and I actually watched them run around and look busy, take breaks outside but never did anything to help the ones that were working so hard. I felt really bad for the kids that are working hard. Line was out of the door and they had ONE register open. Save your money! I’ve seen other comments and it said to reach out via an online form, Fredericksburg isn’t listed as one of the shops to make a complaint to, so management’s response is to send us on a wild goose chase.

Shop small business, instead. Our coffee was forgotten and we were treated unkindly. We had to go back and I waited to let the person making coffee know, but she informed us the coffee she had just made was for an order (which was obvious because she had asked the POS staff for the name as we waited to let her finish and explain what we needed). She replied that they would get to it when they would. I shared that it had been 10-20 minutes and forgotten. My person had gotten there order a few minutes before mine and they never got their coffee. The woman asked which size they ordered and I let her know we don't know and asked the POS staff if it were possible to get a receipt. She chose a small, which is fine because maybe that is the size they choose when someone doesn't specify but I think they had originally ordered flavor and a medium could have made up the price difference. It seems petty to be pressed over. If we are chosing a bit of plastic over keeping it real, I don't know what we are even doing.
I do want to give a shout out to team member Dylan who smiled, showed kindness and took my lead on inclusion.
I think my food would have been better if we didn't have to drive back and forth, though I am used to a much better bagel.
I am just a customer, but I think it is apparent the model lacks people-first dialog and offering receipts could be beneficial. We could be an easy opportunity to help build community. It seems like a standard, pump bagels out at $15 a pop and don't stop to treat people like people kind of business.
