The smell as we walked in was mesmerizing...a delightful blend of sweet, smoky and warm. The mashed potatoes and salmon was delicious and had a superb flavor profile! It had a very slight hint of smoke and a delicate flavor that was perfectly seasoned, not one bit fishy and very, very fresh tasting! It was also cooked to absolute perfection at Medium. Service was outstanding as well! Not a large menu and portions aren't huge but it was definitely enough to fill us up, especially since we ordered the bread basket that had a variety of 4 flavors and was only an additional $1. Delightful and slather on their delicious signature butter!

Our group of 20 (not kidding) was excited to gather for a farewell dinner at Sweetwater. We were seated together at several near tables on the beautiful patio. Drinks came out, dinner plates served... and then - the Storm Of All Storms swept in. Rain was pelting us sideways. Within 2 minutes, we were soaked to the bone, laughing, the food on our plates was kind of floating around. The staff began apologizing (as if it was their fault!?) and seated us immediately at tables inside. They immediately re-made our food orders in the kitchen and brought us fresh drinks. They fussed on us for the next hour and even comped desserts. It turned a "memorable" evening into an even MORE memorable evening. We were all very touched by the Sweetwater team going above and beyond for us, even though they absolutely didn't need to. They just wanted us to be cared for and have a wonderful night. We did. Thank you - will return again soon.

The three-star overall rating, not five, is for the cold grilled salmon and management's (Manager Ally's) response to the issue. Five stars for the waitress's service. We have been dining at this restaurant for more than 20 years, back when the grilled salmon salad was $16 (now $27). We had never had any issues before, and it was our go-to place for dinner, until yesterday. At yesterday's dinner, the grilled salmon was cold (apparently it had been sitting for a while before being served) and consisted of two small, thin tail portions. The waitress offered to either replace it (which would have involved additional waiting) or warm it up. We opted for warming it up. Shortly after, Manager Ally kindly brought back the reheated salmon, which we appreciated. However, she did not seem interested in hearing why we had asked for it to be reheated. There was no acknowledgment of the problem and no apology. We're disappointed. While the chain is known for good food and service, this experience stood out because it was so unlike our previous visits. Occasional mistakes happen at any restaurant, but how they are handled can make all the difference. We hope this was an isolated incident and that management will place greater emphasis on customer service going forward.

We had a very negative experience at Sweetwater Tavern. I had a reservation for 6 at 7pm at showed up at 7:03pm. We were late, and they gave away our table. There is usually a grace period of 5-10 minutes, but ok, I was fine waiting for the next table. However, the staff was so rude and condemning that we showed up late it made us feel like crap. It was my wife’s birthday and just ruined the experience. , It was our fault, we were late, just looking for a little kindness.
