  The food gets the in-laws’ stamp of approval but the service needs work. We visited on Mother’s Day, so yes, it was busy (totally expected). We had a reservation and were seated a little late, which was fine. What wasn’t fine was pretty much everything that followed before the food arrived. Once seated, they had to grab more cups for our table of four. Cups came back, but no water — we had to flag someone down. A little while later, we had to flag down another server just to get menus. Then flag down another to actually place our order. No one checked on us, no one initiated anything. We weren’t in a rush, but the lack of attentiveness was hard to ignore. Getting the check at the end? Same story. Now, the food? Absolutely no notes. We ordered the fried fish, mì xào đồ biển, canh chua cá, and salted fried squid — everything was perfect. 10/10, and that’s coming from the in-laws, so you know it’s legit. Their sizzling dishes are a must-try, just know the ventilation could use some work — it got pretty smoky in the dining room. Overall, I’d recommend this place for the food alone, it genuinely delivers. But if you’re introducing someone to Vietnamese cuisine and hoping for a slightly elevated dining experience to match, just know that service isn’t part of the package here.

  I had a penchant for Vietnamese cuisine and ordered to go. I ordered Open Field in the Sunset Soup (Shrimp), Hard Working Piglet, Lotus Flower Garden, and Fabulous Piglet. All dishes were very delicious and the order was packaged well and it took under 20 minutes wait time. The only thing I wish is there be more lotus in Lotus Flower Garden dish; it was unusually heavy on shaved carrots and little on the lotus flower. All in all I was mostly happy with the flavor and service. Will be returning!

  Every single time we travel to Virginia. We always have to visit here for the past eight years. Love this experience and the food is always so amazing. The owner, chef GENE is phenomenal. As a big brother, he successfully delivers the quality and their cultures of Vietnamese cuisine to everyone in the area and bring Vietnamese food to another level. The inside atmospheres was very Vietnamese, great for big parties and you can even host your events. Here they also have open bar with very friendly staff and quick prepare food. Definitely highly recommend it
