We love Guapos and we love Greysi for her care and hard work in giving us a wonderful experience! She made sure we had water, brought containers for leftovers and was very attentive of us. She covered for the waitress' inatentiveness in a subtle way. Kudos to Greysi!
Guapo's Cocina & Bar in Falls Church is a fine, dependable spot for quick Tex-Mex and rotisserie chicken. 🌮 Service is efficient, and it’s a convenient stop for a quick meal or takeout. 🚗💨
The virgin piña colada was awesome — really refreshing, smooth, and full of flavor without being overly sweet. 🍹🍍 Definitely one of the highlights of the order! 👌
The Charcoal Chicken was also solid — tender, smoky, and pairs well with their sides and sauces. 🍗🔥
One small note on the tacos: the flavor was fine, but the presentation looked a bit simpler compared to some of the photos on Google Maps that show them piled high with toppings. 🌮👀 Still enjoyed them, just slightly different visually than pictured! 📸
Overall, a solid and consistent spot for classic Tex-Mex in the area. đź’ˇ Def worth checking out if you're craving a cold drink and quick comfort food. đź’Ż

We have been coming to this restaurant for several years, and it has always been one of our favorite places. We regularly come for dinner, happy hour, lunch, and special celebrations, date nights with my husband or just going for some drinks with my friends. The food has consistently been excellent, and until this experience, we have always received great service as well.
Unfortunately, our experience last night was very disappointing, especially because of how an otherwise minor and completely accidental situation was handled.
We were dining with a group of about 10 people and were waiting for our drinks. Our server was carrying the drinks to the table on a tray when one person in our group stood up to go to the restroom and, without realizing the server was approaching, accidentally bumped the tray. As a result, two draft beers that we had ordered fell.
We completely understand that accidents happen, and we were more than willing to simply move on from the situation. However, the server informed us that she could bring replacement beers, but that we would still have to pay for the two beers that had spilled because that was the manager’s decision.
We were then informed that this decision came from the manager, Thomas. What was most frustrating was not the cost of two draft beers. It was the way the situation was handled. This was clearly an accident, the beers were not even bottled products, and there was an extremely simple opportunity to turn an unfortunate moment into a positive customer-service experience. Instead, Thomas chose to have us charged for drinks that we never received.
Considering that we have been loyal customers for years and have supported this restaurant on many occasions, we honestly expected a little more understanding and flexibility. Good customer service is often about how a business handles situations when something goes wrong, and unfortunately, this situation could have been resolved quickly and gracefully.
We left feeling frustrated and disappointed—not because of two beers, but because of the lack of consideration and the feeling that our experience as returning customers did not matter. A small gesture from management could have completely changed the way we felt walking out of the restaurant.
We still appreciate the food and the many great experiences we have had here over the years, which is why this particular incident was especially disappointing. We hope Thomas and the management team will reconsider how situations like this are handled in the future, because sometimes making the customer happy is worth far more than the cost of two draft beers.

Very disappointing takeout experience.
I picked up order #293, and after only a four-minute drive home, I found that the food was already cold. The steak I ordered medium was served well done, and the tortillas for the fajitas and my dessert were missing from the bag.
Because of the problems with the order, I had to call the restaurant three times and wait while trying to get the situation resolved. Given that the food was cold, incorrectly prepared, and incomplete, I requested a full refund.
The manager initially offered 25%, and after further discussion increased it to 50%. That still does not address the issue. A discount does not make sense when part of the order was never received at all. I effectively ended up paying 50% for a dessert that I never received, in addition to paying for food that was not prepared as ordered.
I explained that I was not asking for compensation simply because I was unhappy with the food. I was asking for a refund for items that were either missing or not provided as described on the menu.
I understand that mistakes happen. What made this experience especially frustrating was having multiple problems with the same order and then having to repeatedly explain why charging a customer for food they did not receive is not an acceptable resolution.
I expected the situation to be handled better. or at the very least, with better hospitality.
I am still requesting a full refund for the missing dessert and for the items that were not provided or prepared as ordered.
I really enjoyed my dine-in experience. The atmosphere is gorgeous, lively, and welcoming. During the day, they have nice music playing, and at night, they sometimes have live DJs, which gives the restaurant a fun and energetic vibe. The space itself is beautifully decorated and definitely makes you want to stay and enjoy your meal.
The service during my visit was wonderful. I had a question about one of the salmon dishes since it was my first time there, and my server went above and beyond to help me, even finding a picture of the dish so I could see what to expect. I really appreciated that level of attention.
The food was delicious. I ordered the salmon dish, a tamal de elote, and a taco al pastor. Everything was very tasty, but the taco al pastor was a highlight for me. What I especially loved was that they had the traditional trompo-style preparation, similar to what you see in Mexico. I’ve been looking for a place that serves al pastor tacos this way, so finding it here was a big plus for me!
I have also ordered takeout from Guapo’s a few times. My first takeout experience was excellent and the staff went above and beyond. Unfortunately, on two other occasions, there were some mistakes with my order. I requested no beans and rice instead, but received beans and no rice, and they also forgot the sauces. These visits were not during particularly busy rush hours, so I was a little surprised. Thankfully, they were able to correct the orders, although it was inconvenient having to go back after I had already left.
Overall, despite those takeout issues, I really like this restaurant. The dine-in experience, atmosphere, food, and service have been very good, and I would definitely come back. It’s a place I would recommend and would be happy to bring friends or meet people. I’m especially coming back for those al pastor tacos!
