  Had horrible experience tonight although I used to love this store especially when they were open until midnight. There were some sweet young women who worked there and they were incredibly nice and kind and helpful. I went there constantly all winter and until about a month ago. Don’t know what happened to the nice employees. Almost got run over by some guy in a wheelchair when I entered. Found out he works there. Still not okay to ignore safety and be a bully and terrorize customers!!!! Not okay to scare people with your wheelchair!!!! And the lady working the self service was a very nasty bossy know it all who knew nothing at all. Some guy wouldn’t get out of my way and she tried telling me what to do. Mind you there were only two of us at the time on the self service on Tuesday night about 10:30pm and I was just trying to pay and politely said excuse me but he wouldn’t out get out of my way. Then I asked when they changed the hours for the store and she said three years ago. Huh??? Then I tried to find an item and she was clueless and unwilling to help so I asked for the manager. He was wonderful!!!’ Finally someone with some brains and customer service skills. I also think I remember her from some store since she made a horrible impression on me even years ago. Very pushy and mean and bossy. Don’t even know if it was Giant or some other chain or maybe she has a twin. Anyway except for those two I love this store and everything about it. I love the prices and selection of products and the normally excellent nice kind helpful employees!!!! What happened to the sweet girls who used to work self service??? The manager was great though and if I was just reviewing him I would have given 10 stars.

  I've shopped here several times and 9 times out of 10 they have what I'm looking for. The deli is always a go-to for me because they have the cold cuts andprovaline cheese that I like. I also do enjoy their Greek pasta salad. They also usually carry pre-made chicken Cesar wraps, but they were out of those today when I came. I also noticed that they have a hot bar which was already closed down at 7pm. I wish that someday they bring back the traditional salad bar. For today, I settled on a half gallon of skim milk and Quaker Oats cereal.

  This store is the most convenient to me and I rather enjoy the staff. However, self checkout is out of control! This week, I noticed that every single one of us (4 paying customers) that were checking out through the self checkout kiosks had our blinking lights on for assistance. The clearly overworked and underpaid cashier who had the misfortune of having to correct each person's purchase looked to me to be having one of the worst days of her life. Mind you, there were only two full service cashiers available while the other lanes remained operationally defunct. For the prices at Giant to be insultingly overpriced, I fail to understand why they seem to be against paying experienced cashiers to perform the lost art of customer service- yet, not a single one of us was offered an employee discount. Welcome to 2026- the height of retail and corporate greed.
