- OHO HSep 20, 20261.0Food here is good and what you’d expect from any Five Guys. But during a recent carry out order, they forgot an item. Not a problem, that happens. I tried calling twice shortly after (same day), but no one picked the phone. Again, still fine, maybe they were too busy. The problem was when I was finally to get a hold someone the next day. They fought me really hard, like unusually hard. I’ve had items missing from carry out orders before at different places and every time they simply apologize and refund or credit me for next time; which is all I was looking for in this case. Instead, they asked me for proof as if I was trying to scam them for $7. The tone was just very harsh and accusatory and clearly not coming from a place was wanting to resolve my issue. I questioned what kind of proof they were looking for, and they told they wanted to see a picture of the food I received or else management wouldn’t believe me. I didn’t think to do that, and wasn’t even sure how that would’ve been adequate proof of a missing item. I told them if they were going to refuse to help me, then I’d just work with my credit card issuer to resolve. I was then transferred to someone else, who’s tone was no better, that only took my name (which I had to repeat and spell at least five times) and the missing item. They said that’s all they needed to find the order to refund me. When I asked them to confirm the spelling of my name, they read me back the wrong name. I then tried spelling out my name phonetically. There was definitely a strong language barrier weren’t able to get past. They said they had it and we ended the call, leaving unsatisfied and unconvinced. I was able to resolve through my credit card the next day in about two minutes. I guess if you choose to go here, especially if it’s to-go, double check your order and take pics. Heck film the whole the thing from the minute you walk in the door just to protect yourself.
