Newly opened. I tried today for lunch. Tex mex flavors are spot on. But, sadly no lunch specials, so if you are wanting a smaller portion for lunch you will have to order off of appetizer selections or à la carte. That being said for about a 4 oz portion. I paid 8.00 for a tiny, TINY, cup of charro beans. On top of an expensive flauta app (portion of 2), and soda, my bill was over 24.00 …plus a tip…close to 30.00 for a small lunch . I really see no reason to return, as the price was crazy. This restaurant is huge, so I can imagine the monthly rent is just insane. Super cute decor inside, clean, and Very nice and attentive wait staff. But the prices... Why charge 8.00 for a small side of beans?

A wonderful dining experience from start to finish. The Birria Tacos and chiles rellenos were both outstanding, complemented perfectly by excellent drinks. What truly sets this establishment apart is the hospitality; the entire team was welcoming and professional throughout our visit. Highly recommended!

Was originally skeptical because of the price of some of the items on the menu, but decided to try it anyway. Atmosphere is just as good as the last place, staff was attentive and friendly, but I'm writing this comment because the food defied expectations in a major way. I could taste every individual ingredient in the Doña Mesa Burrito: the char from the steak, the guacamole, the warmth of the queso, etc. The beans are extremely hearty and the yellow rice is fluffy and delicious. Each item cooked to perfection, seasoned amazingly, and was a large portion size (the average person will likely need a to-go container).
Highly recommended. Absolutely bang for the buck, and will be returning
This place is basically Bandito's 2.0, and it's going to go the same way. You can't charge $26 for quesadillas and $30 for burritos around here..it's basically Burke, and this place is in a strip mall by George Mason. The food is not worth it in either quality or portion. The queso is NOT good - it's pretty much Velveeta with no additional flavor. The charro beans are not good. I ordered fajitas and they put the white rice ON the iron platter, burning the ish out of it. It's a huge space and I'm sure their rent isn't cheap but this concept isn't going to make it.
They have good Happy Hour drink specials but the HH food specials are a rip off, like $4 for a single flauta, or $4 for literally a slice (one triangle) of quesadilla. LOL get real.
I look forward to whatever we'll get next once this place inevitably goes under. Onward!
