Overall, the ambiance of the dining room was outstanding, though the food part was, at best, bland. Arriving from the strip mall parking lot, several smokers were right by the front door. The ownership had placed seating and ashtrays for the smokers less than five feet from the entrance. To the good fortune of my party, the smokers were downwind. I was able to cross the street to the parking, circle back, and enter the restaurant from upwind, avoiding the smoke. A suggestion is to locate the smoking area maybe twenty or twenty five feet from the door set. The first food presented is typically bread, and the service can be judged by how the butter is served. The bread portion was quite small, maybe four small slices to be shared among four diners, with no butter at all. The highlight of the restaurant experience was the ambiance of the dining room created by our server. We came to talk with friends. We were unhurried and the room was generous in size and conducive to conversation. The menu seemed uninspired and brief. Not many choices. Asked what beers were available, but got no response, so ordered "any IPA." :Later examined the menu and saw there were about three beer choices, but more wines. Ordered the blackened fish tacos. For this entree, you get one side, either fries or slaw, not exactly choices that express thought went into the menu design. Food arrived lukewarm and bland. Fries were kinda burned, yet not warm. Tacos were a slab of fish with a sauce with no obvious taste. Salt and pepper might have helped. As I look back, I realize a hot sauce bottle was available at the table, though it was not obvious in the moment. My expectation was that the food would be seasoned by the kitchen, the executive chef drawing inspiration from a specific cuisine. Overall, a suggestion is for the firm's executives to work on their palates by visiting popular restaurants.

This, our first time here, was amazing overall—the food, the attention.

Bonefish Grill use to feel like an upscale restaurant. I was shocked when I went thru the turnstile door. The tile/granite floor inside the turning door was extremely filthy! I was concerned about the bottom of my shoes. Another patron noticed that the door handle was also very dirty. I would have left if I wasn't meeting with a group. The majority of the group thought the food was flavorless. The food and atmosphere gave Ruby Tuesday and TGIF vibes. Totally different from the former Ashburn location. I would not recommend.

Came for lunch on a Tuesday. Not busy. Extensive menu, with a few "prix fixe" lunch choices at reduced prices. The latter consist of soup or salad, entree, and beverage. Fish & chips was a good choice; shaved brussels sprouts salad was huge. They were happy to bring cocktail sauce in place of tartar sauce. AARP discount of 10%.
