  Wonderful food and service! Darlene is the kind of waitress who makes dining out more enjoyable....gave good recommendations, knew the menu well, attentive, pleasant.

  I have eaten here many times and I have always had good food and service. Last Sunday I had the cutest little server who went above and beyond to help me when my phone was dead, and I needed to charge it to pay. Plus, the eggs Florentine were delicious. This is a great place to bring your family for brunch. Highly recommend!

  Beautiful restaurant, amazing food, even better service, but saw multiple people standing behind the bar looking lost, in the servers way, talking to each other, and overall I’m assuming not doing what they were supposed to be doing. I worked in the service industry for some time and my boss never hired people to sit behind the bar and watch everyone work while they stood there watching and talking to each other. Definitely will come back though.

  We visited after church while I was in town visiting my 21-year-old daughter. Unfortunately, our experience was disappointing enough that we will not be returning. Because the restaurant was busy, we sat at the bar. After ordering, an older female employee approached my daughter, touched her arm, and told her not to move side to side because her breast was showing. She said she was speaking to her being a “mother and grandmother” and that there were children around. My daughter was visibly upset and embarrassed. She has a tiny build, already self-conscious about her small chest and was wearing appropriate undergarments, which made the employee's unsolicited comment about her body and clothing even more upsetting. Furthermore, there were no children even near us at the bar. As a mother, I didn't appreciate her "motherly" comments which came across condescending and patronizing. I immediately asked to speak with a manager, only to learn that the woman who approached her was the manager. I then spoke privately with the owner, Joe, and explained that my daughter’s attire should never have been brought up. Regardless of the manager’s intent, approaching a young adult customer, touching her, and making a personal comment about her body and clothing was inappropriate, intrusive, and humiliating. There was no justification for this rude inappropriate encounter other than the manager deciding to target my daughter. Customers should be able to dine without being subjected to unsolicited remarks about their bodies or clothing. Since the manager made our visit about clothing versus food service, I've even attached a photo of the dress my daughter wore (taken from the Free People website). I appreciated that Joe said he would address the matter with his manager but the experience left my daughter humiliated and we both lost our appetites and left. Unfortunately, we will not be returning to a cafe that focuses more on people's attire and physical appearance versus providing excellent food service.

  Today, we played Russian roulette with family Sunday lunch time. That’s how we came upon this little family dinner. Our entire experience was great, nothing to truly complain about. The dinning area has a real hometown feel with conversation billowing from each table about individuals being regulars and discussing the last time they were here. The staff are primarily made up of teenagers who were all friendly and helpful. For food, we partook in a few things from the menu: - Chicken tenders (5) with fries - The American burger with fries - Western omelette with home fries - Avocado toast with home fries - Protein smoothie - French toast latte - Beignets (6 small) with all three sauces All the food was delicious and prepared just right. After reading the reviews, we decided to make a reservation. However, the hostess seemed frazzled and overwhelmed by something that did not pertain to us and the reservation appeared to not matter. The restaurant prefers you pay by cash or debit. If not, they attach a 3% processing fee. The only criticism I have is that the restaurant charges extra for anything not directly associated with your meal. For example, $3.50 for salsa, .50 per extra beignets sauce, .50 for bbq sauce, and $1.50 for fries with a burger. This is a small thing but can add up quick. Overall, this is a decent diner and one we will probably return to soon.
