  I visited this store this morning to purchase some household goods that I needed. I was able to locate most of the items I needed. The store was relatively clean and there were very few customers so I was able to get to the register fairly quickly. This is where I became a little confused. The checkout clerk that I used and the Self Check out Clerk seemed to have a scowl on their faces. Being in a relatively good mood, I greeted the clerk with a smiling "hello". I did not get even an eye contact and had to repeat myself in order to get a response. I don't expect much from a check out clerk other that accuracy and a minor pleasant greeting response. These employees are the direct opposite as the ones at the local Piggly Wiggly store who seem to go out of their way to provide all levels of "customer service". It may have something to do with the hiring practices of Food Lion, but what ever it is, I wouldn't suggest you go into this particular store with a positive attitude. That's why I'm not going to return.

  This used to be a clean store. I came in earlier and was disgusted by the sanitary condition of the floor on the end of the aisle. There is no way that this is healthy around food.

  This is the nicest Food Lion I have ever been to. So clean. Stocked so well. Nicely lit with actual ambiance. Im serious. Nice cashiers. Great selection. I stopped in after work and I was amazed. I live in Eden. We do not have nice Food Lion stores in Rockingham county. Im just being honest. Thank you all. Stay awesome.
