- KMKaitlin Crawford (MissEvol)Sep 20, 20261.0I get so frustrated going to this store because it’s so expensive and yet there seems to be incompetence managing the place I shouldn’t be so frustrated going to the grocery store . You’re supposed to take a number at the deli counter, but it means nothing. No one’s ever really there and you have to go looking for someone to help you. I don’t understand why you need to take a number if it doesn’t notify people in the back that there’s someone upfront. Install a bell so you can easily summon someone if you’re supposed to go and find someone to help you. And I avoid the lane checkout at all cost because they put the slowest people there. Put the people who are slow at the self checkout and put someone competent to check you out in a lane because usually people have a lot of purchases if they’re doing lane checkout, self checkout is more for smaller quantity purchases. And usually it’s just one person at checkout, but there were two people at checkouts and both were slow! I was informed that the manager or boss was standing near and was doing just that standing… I’ve gone to other stores where if lines are backed up or there’s a complication in one line (which there was in both) the manager usually steps in to help the flow of people checking out. This isn’t just a one time occurrence it’s a constant irritation going to this store. I hate buying Large quantities at this store, not only because of the price, but because of trying to avoid the lane checkout. I would avoid the store if I could, but alas, Aldi’s and Lidl don’t carry everything but if they did, I would not go back to Martin’s.
