Good food and atmosphere. The place was busy so it did take a while to get my food. Thankfully the drinks were good to get my by until the food arrived. Otherwise good experience.

The server was super. Food was great. This is our best experience at Outback. We used to go a lot and then somethings happened on our last trip and had not been in years until the other night. It was an awesome experience all the way around. Great job Outback!!

Outback Steakhouse Christianburg, Virginia Tuesday, April 7, 2026 ~5-7PM We went here for the first time with my mom, aunt, cousin, and younger brother after spending time at an arcade nearby. We were looking for something casual that wouldn’t be too busy or overwhelming, and since my mom had a gift card, we decided to try this place. The atmosphere was really nice—cozy with a modern, slightly woody aesthetic. There were booths and tables, TVs, and what looked like a bar area. It was pretty quiet without feeling empty, and overall felt very family-friendly and relaxed. The service was honestly one of the highlights. We were greeted right away (they even opened the door for us) and seated almost immediately. Our server, Daniel, was amazing—super friendly, attentive, and engaging. He gave helpful suggestions, joked around with us, and even interacted with my little brother, which made the experience feel more personal. We started with the bread and butter, which was good—standard brown bread with whipped butter. We also ordered a small side of fries for my brother that came fairly quickly. For appetizers, we got the Fried Mozzarella Bloomerangs and the Blooming Onion (pictured below). The mozzarella was solid: well-seasoned breading that stayed on, though the cheese pull wasn’t great and served with marinara sauce. The blooming onion was definitely the standout—huge, super crispy, very flavorful, and easily enough to share with leftovers. It leaned more batter-forward, which I liked, though my mom thought it was slightly salty. For entrees, I ordered the Queensland Grilled Chicken and Shrimp Pasta (pictured below). The shrimp was excellent—well-seasoned and cooked perfectly—but the chicken was a bit bland. The pasta itself was a little disappointing since it was more buttery and slightly greasy rather than creamy and cheesy like a traditional Alfredo. Still enjoyable, just not what I expected with the description's "bold Alfredo sauce". The portion size was also a bit smaller than I thought it would be for the price. My mom got the Alice Springs Chicken with steamed broccoli and a loaded baked sweet potato and really enjoyed it, though she also felt the chicken could’ve used more seasoning. My aunt ordered the Perfectly Grilled Salmon and liked it overall but didn’t think it was worth the higher price, and mentioned her side salad had a slight unexplained fishy taste. My cousin’s Joey Sirloin steak (well done) and fries was a bit tough and under seasoned, but she still enjoyed her meal. They had various value deals going on, such as options for meal combos or take-home discounts but we stuck to the normal menu. The service timing was good overall—food came out fairly quickly, and everything flowed well. There was a small delay when paying due to a gift card issue, but the manager handled it smoothly and even adjusted the total, which we appreciated. Price-wise, it did feel a bit expensive for what we got, and I don’t think the value fully matched the cost. That said, the experience itself was still enjoyable. I would come back, but I’d probably stick to appetizers since they were large, shareable, and some of the best parts of the meal. I’d also be interested in trying dessert next time since they looked really good. Overall, a great experience with welcoming service and a cozy atmosphere—just keep the price in mind. Definitely a good spot for families, friends, or even a casual date night.

The service was good.. nothing spectacular but acceptable. The food nearly hit rock bottom. Chicken wings were excellent, although WAY smaller than I remember... Salads, well Outback went wrong years ago on this when they changed their tomatoes and cucumbers. Lettuce was in chunks about 4" squared. Must have missed that second slice to get them to a manageable size! The dressings saved the day on that though! Delmonico ribeye was TERRIBLE, TOUGH AND STRINGY. ZERO marbling! Alice springs was overcooked by atleast a good 5 minutes. Dry as a bone. Which I was highly surprised by. Outback usually can't screw those up.... well this location succeeded in that flop! Also bread was hard like a brick. I chose outback as my dinner destination because it had considerably better ratings than Texas Roadhouse down the street. Now, I am afraid to try that place after eating here! How much worse could the food be? All in all, after $103 for 2 people, 2 meals, 1 app and water, we left a little fatter. Not happy, but full... and atleast our wallets lost some weight!
