It’s very packed usually I have to wait in a line but worth the way the ice cream is very good. The portion is very big if you get a single it’s more like a double scoop. It’s definitely a bang for your book. I would recommend coming here and not even talking about how good the ice cream is and I’ll get the waffle cone is those two things are great.

This is a very popular spot to stop in when visiting and everyone in line would tell you it’s because of how great the ice cream is! It’s well worth standing in line for! The staff is friendly and they do a great job. My favorite is the marsh mud in a nice, hot made-for-you waffle cone! Don’t be afraid of the line, wait to get this amazing ice cream!

We went to Island Creamery almost every day during our vacation, and it quickly became one of our favorite stops. We made it a tradition to try different flavors each night. My favorites were Cherry Jubilee and Pony Tracks, while my fiancé couldn’t get enough of Marsh Mud.
One night we decided to try the ice cream cake by the slice, and the Peanut Butter Cup flavor was incredible!
If you’re on Chincoteague—or even just nearby—don’t hesitate to stop in. Don’t let the long lines scare you away. They move quickly, and the ice cream is absolutely worth the wait!
We tried 3 single scoop flavors in homemade waffle cones including Salt Marsh, Almond Joy, and Pony Tracks. The best flavor can change depending on preference, but I don’t think you can go wrong! The Salt Marsh had a rich chocolate flavor with unique salty bits, Almond Joy had a good mix of flavor, and the Pony Tracks was my personal favorite with a vanilla base and chocolate and crunchy bits. The homemade waffle cones were light, slightly crunchy, and easy to enjoy with the ice cream.
The wait in line was not long at 3pm and there is seating space indoors. I recommend having an idea of what you want ahead of time because service is quick; although, don’t be afraid to ask about the flavors.
