  McDonald’s has completely destroyed the purpose of the drive-thru experience. Nearly every single visit ends with being told to “pull forward” — not because the food is almost ready, but because they’re clearly trying to manipulate drive-thru timer metrics for upper management. Customers are choosing the drive-thru because they expect FAST food. Instead, it has turned into “drive-thru, park, and wait.” If I’m sitting in a parking spot for 15–30 minutes waiting on an order, then the system is fundamentally broken. What makes it even worse is when they ask customers to pull forward while the designated waiting spots are already full. At that point, traffic backs up, people are confused about where to park, and the entire process becomes chaotic and inefficient. Why even have a drive-thru if orders can’t be completed at the window like they’re supposed to be? Unfortunately, this isn’t isolated to one location. It’s become a consistent problem at seemingly every McDonald’s in Charlottesville, specifically the Ridge McIntire location. The entire operation feels designed around protecting performance statistics instead of actually serving customers efficiently. I genuinely enjoy McDonald’s for what it is — quick, greasy comfort food. But there’s nothing “fast” about waiting half an hour for a basic order while employees artificially close out drive-thru times by pushing cars into parking spots. Corporate management needs to address the actual customer experience, because right now the drive-thru system is failing badly

  The person in the drive thru ignored my question, then they gave me the wrong order, then I heard another worker say there's dust on a surface and it is never cleaned. I'm not sure if the food I got is clean to eat. Plus there was an odd man loitering by the drive thru at night.

  McDonald's always hits for breakfast but here the tables were missing that love and were dirty kind of turning you off honestly plus the service was mid it was right in the middle of the breakfast rush I must say but I did have to wait some which was kind of a pain but wasn't the end of the world and not all workers seem to enthused to be there and it kind of showed.

  Customer service & related training needs to be improved. Explanation: I ordered the Big Breakfast with Hotcakes, and a Biscuit w/Sausage Gravy meal. You would think that the clerk could give me the correct plastic eating utensils; syrup and butter—upon picking up my order. It took me two extra trips to the counter before resolving this. So, this needs to be addressed promptly and professionally. As my future issues with poor customer service, will be communicated with the franchise rights holding company level management.

  We put a mobile order in at 11:40 & then sat in line while only 1 car was let through before they shut the lights off and closed. Will never ever come here again. No wonder Wendy’s next door has better reviews, service and hours! Shame on you lazy workers!!!
