What a disappointing experience. We ordered multiple items from the menu, getting recommendations from our waiter. There was no broth in the spicy beef soup…it was hot bland water with gummy noodles. There is no salt pepper on the table, no condiments were brought out…soy sauce, chili oil…anything. Food was brought out without serving spoons. Middle pieces in the chicken skewers were raw…big chicken platter had no salt…bland tasteless food. I took my family who had come from out of town….incredibly embarrassing. Once the waiter delivered the food…never came back to check. When I did tell him about the raw chicken, no response. On top of this there is a 20% gratuity already added. The food is overpriced and tasteless. Will not be returning.

First time here, ordered the Royal Laghman - it's delicious, but it was a little light in flavor for me, I think it would be even better if it has stronger flavor. Very satisfied with other: Beef & tripe spicy sauce, spicy stick skewers, goshnan. They were running out of Uyghur beef stew at that time so we ordered Mongolian beef, it's was delicious. Our server Can was very friendly and attentive. He made sure we were happy with everything. All of them looks good on the menu and even the dishes at other tables around us. We would come back to try more from the menu

My friend and I finally stopped by Dolan Uyghur Restaurant in Chantilly, and we had such a great experience. Dolan is one of the first Uyghur restaurants in the D.C. and Fairfax area. Uyghurs are a Turkic people from Central Asia, primarily from the region known as Xinjiang or East Turkestan. The greater D.C. area is also home to the largest Uyghur community in the United States, which made me even more excited to learn about the culture through the food. Parking was incredibly easy, and the restaurant was very clean, spacious, and peaceful. It was so nice being able to sit with a friend, have a conversation, and actually hear each other without having to yell over music or noise. Ali was our server, and he was so kind and helpful. The menu has so many options that we probably would have sat there forever trying to decide if he had not given us recommendations. He suggested the Korma Chop and the manta, and both were excellent choices. We started with a pot of Dolan Gul Chai, and it was incredible. My friend and I drank the entire pot and refilled it with hot water twice. I could have honestly kept drinking it all evening. Our absolute favorite was the lamb, which you can order by the pound. It was so juicy, tender, and flavorful. We both agreed that it was our number one dish. The mild Korma Chop was another favorite. It is their signature fried noodle dish, and almost everyone who came into the restaurant seemed to order it. We also tried the pumpkin Kawa Manta, which is their Uyghur style steamed dumpling filled with pumpkin, peppers, onions, and spices. It was surprisingly flavorful and delicious. We also had the beef and tripe and the Cold Egg Noodles. The egg noodles were very different from anything I had tried before, with a nutty and slightly spicy sauce. I really liked them, and they were one of my friend’s favorite dishes of the night. For dessert, we shared the Dolan Cake and the Sütlaç rice pudding. My friend preferred the Dolan Cake, while I really enjoyed the creamy texture of the rice pudding. I liked both, but the rice pudding was my personal favorite. I have also tried their Honey Cake before, and that was delicious too. This may sound a little old of us, but we were also impressed by the quality of the touchless QR code menu. Instead of a flimsy sticker, the code was displayed on a nice metal plaque. It was such a small detail, but it added to how clean and thoughtfully maintained the restaurant felt. There were so many things on the menu that we wanted to try, and we barely made a dent in it. We will definitely be back to try more. Thank you, Ali, for helping us choose!

The service was excellent, and Tarik was absolutely wonderful — attentive, friendly, and professional. We were very happy with the hospitality and service. Unfortunately, the pricing structure left us disappointed. The menu prices already felt quite high — even a very small pide was $5 — but what really surprised us was the additional 3% infrastructure fee, followed by a mandatory 20% gratuity, and then tax calculated on top of the total. By the end, the bill was significantly higher than we expected based on the menu prices. I have no problem tipping well for great service, especially when the service is as good as Tarik’s was. However, combining already-high menu prices with an infrastructure fee and a mandatory 20% gratuity makes the final cost feel excessive. We genuinely enjoyed the service and would otherwise be happy to return, but I hope the restaurant reconsiders this pricing/fee structure or at least makes the total additional charges extremely clear upfront. The service was excellent, and Tarik was absolutely wonderful — attentive, friendly, and professional. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Absolutely Fantastic Dining Experience! We had an incredible meal for a family of five (all ages 15 to 94!) here and will definitely be back. The entire staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome, and their service was exceptionally attentive throughout the whole evening. A wonderful highlight was when the owner came over to our table personally to check on how we were enjoying the food. It is rare to see that level of care and pride! The menu has something for everyone, with an excellent variety of both vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes. Every single main course we ordered was absolutely yummy. However, you must save room for the end of the meal! The desserts and the tea were incredibly yum and provided the perfect finish to an already perfect Sunday meal. Highly recommended! Thank you Hamid and Can.
