~6-7PM
This was technically my first real visit for myself. I’ve had Taco Bell before, but it had been years, and I used to be a much pickier eater. Recently I’d been craving it, especially after seeing their new Diablo nuggets, so I decided to finally give it a proper try.
The interior looked fairly modern, with updated kiosks and a clean menu display, though some areas like the tables and drink station felt a bit older. We sat near the sauce and utensil station, where there were a few packets on the floor, but nothing too messy. Overall, the dining area was decently clean, and the drink/condiment station was well-stocked and organized. It was a bit busy when we went, but still had a typical, relaxed fast food vibe.
We ordered through the kiosk, which was super smooth and easy to use. I really like how customizable everything is—you can take your time and see all the options without feeling rushed. Since I paid partially with a gift card and then cash, there was a small confusion where the payment didn’t fully go through at first, but it was resolved quickly and the cashier helping me was very sweet about it.
Service overall was a bit mixed. Some staff were friendly, but others came off rushed and not very engaging. When I went to pick up food or ask for my missing sauce, the interactions felt quick and a little impersonal—not rude, just busy energy. That said, the main meal came out surprisingly fast. The only delay was when we ordered an extra side of nacho fries later, which took about 10 minutes.
For food, I got the Diablo Dusted Crispy Nuggets Deluxe Combo (pictured below) with a Doritos Locos Taco swap, chalupa supreme, nacho fries, and a zero sugar Baja Blast, plus Cinnabon Delights. My mom got the Classic Cravings Box, and we later added nacho fries for my brother.
Honestly, I was really impressed. For fast food standards, everything tasted great. The Diablo nuggets were a standout—super crispy, flavorful, and I actually got seven large pieces instead of five, which was a nice surprise. They weren’t super spicy (maybe a 2/10), but still had a good kick, and were perfect with the jalapeño honey mustard sauce. The sauce was definitely a surprise with how delicious it was: a great mix of spicy and sweet.
The Doritos Locos Taco had a great texture—crispy but slightly soft in a good way—and really tasted like Doritos. My Chalupa Supreme was probably my favorite part: soft, puffy shell with a generous amount of filling, but not messy. Both items were well-assembled, which I appreciated.
The nacho fries were a bit more average and slightly underwhelming, and they were placed upside down so they spilled all over the bag. The Cinnabon Delights (my favorite item on the menu) were good, but had less of the usual gooey filling than expected and were spilled as well. Drinks were great, and we even ended up with extra drinks cups by accident, which was a fun bonus that left us with way more Baja blast than we probably needed.
For about $20 total for both meals, the value was really solid—especially with combo boxes, which give you a lot more food than ordering individually.
Overall, this was a surprisingly good experience for fast food. Despite a few small service and presentation issues, the food quality really stood out, and I’d definitely come back—either for the same order or to try more of the menu.
