This is the only grocery store in the immediate area, and I really wish Aldi, Trader Joe’s, or Lidl would open a location in Bealeton to provide some additional competition and choices. One frustration I have—and this applies not just to Food Lion, but to many of the major grocery chains—is the whole digital coupon system. If I already have your savings or membership card, why should I have to go online or use an app to activate additional discounts? If I’m a member and scan my card, I should automatically receive the best available price. There’s no need to make customers jump through additional hoops just to get the advertised savings. This particular store is also somewhat limited in its selection, and there are often only one or two full-service checkout lanes open. On the positive side, most of the staff I’ve dealt with have been friendly and helpful. Overall, it serves the area because there really aren’t many other grocery options nearby, but some additional competition in Bealeton would definitely be welcome.

It's my local store so I go there a lot. The employees are usually very helpful and they have all the items I need or would be looking for. They get a little extra credit for putting up with some of the locals.

I like the layout, the atmosphere (not like walmart or something else), the good meats and the bread selection from the bakery. Also have certain can goods that are hard to find. Well done there.
