- TRTeneale RoseJun 14, 20261.0If I can give this 0 starts I would. I am extremely disappointed with the customer service I received at Dunkin’ Donuts today. I visited the drive-thru with my younger daughter around 10:00 a.m. and attempted to pay for my order with a $100 bill. The employee at the window immediately told me they could not accept it because they did not have enough cash to make change. My concern is that this location opens at 5:00 a.m., and by 10:00 a.m. they claimed they had no cash available. When I asked to speak with a manager, the employee informed me that she was the manager. I then requested to speak with someone above her, and another employee came to the window and stated that they had just gone to the bank and did not have any cash on hand. As a customer, this explanation made very little sense. This is a food business that handles transactions throughout the day. If there is no cash available to make change, how are cash transactions being managed? It felt less like they couldn’t break the bill and more like they simply didn’t want to. What disappointed me most was not just the refusal to accept my payment, but the lack of professionalism and customer service in addressing the situation. A little effort, explanation, or willingness to help would have gone a long way. Dunkin’s slogan is “America Runs on Dunkin’,” but experiences like this make customers question where the customer service has gone. I expect better communication, better management, and a greater commitment to serving customers. Esperanza was on the drive-thru Jennifer was the so called manager that told me they just went to the bank.
