  Amazing authentic (felt gourmet) Nepali food. Delicious yak meat appetizer. The biriyani comes in the cooking pot itself with crispy rice sticking to the pot (best part)- serves 3-4. Amazing interiors (theres a fullsize yak taxidermy) and patio.

  Unfortunately, this was our worst experience at this restaurant. We received the wrong dish, which the staff simply took away without apologizing or asking what we would like to order instead.Another entree did not arrive until we asked the staff where it was. By the time they finally brought it, everyone else had already finished eating. Again, there was no apology. The sel roti tasted good, but it still had uncooked flour inside. The achar served with it smelled very bad, and the biryani had no salt or flavor. We understand that Friday nights can be busy, but there were barely any customers when we arrived around 9:45 p.m. We have visited this restaurant many times and often bring our guests here, which made this experience especially disappointing. The food and service were both unacceptable this time.

  We are such regulars at this place.. love the food but the service has become so bad. The main dude's attitude has become so off and rude he will be the reason we won't return to Yak again and maybe just do a grub hub delivery if we crave for yummy Momos. So sad to leave the Yak loyalty list... Response: God knows the truth no one was disrespectful we were asking about the Yak and the new place in Arlington when he walked away from us. appreciate the management standing by the team and maybe you are the owner/management so you know what happened. I have been there many times... It's just sad that it has become this to a frequent friendly customer. Good luck my friend 🤞 Omg I just looked up YOU are the owner!!! Now am not even doing grubhub LOL... Have a good life!! Tell the Truth. Post the inappropriate personal question that was asked please I pray post it here. Am ready for a personal 1:1 interview to discuss what transpired and who is lying. We both have nothing to lose. You lose ONE customer and I have a zillion restaurants to go to. Honesty and Truth and Respect matters. Stand up for a live 1.1 discussion of what transpired. Would you? Am sure there must be some cameras to record rude customers so you can sue them right? The entire conversation happened right at the entrance in front of the mighty Yak my friend. Release the video of the disrespect on the customer or the Owner... I am ready for the challenge. Now the star rating goes from 3 to 1 because the Owner is a liar. My picture is out on my account I am not anonymous as a Google Reviewer. That's how you knew all the details that happened I paid my bill I sat outdoors right? The owner of Himalayan yak responded to my review as if HE was the employee.. the Staff the lady who served us was very kind and polite. The Food was awesome except the goat meat curry was just full of bones and no meat... I rest my case!!!! Ready to meet in front of a press anytime to resolve this. If you can prove the disrespect I will apologize in public. Are you ready to do the same? Do not lie... Pls stay blessed and move on. People don't survive on Momos in life here. I loved ur Momos and brought many friends to share the awesome food you serve. God bless Nepal during this time of crisis with the flood. Be good my friend... I didn't even know you are the owner. Now that I know who you are... I wish you the best with your venture just don't lie. Respect every one as if they were your first customer and you will continue to prosper. I have been there since the Opening soon sign was on... Waited for yak to open and shown up consistently... So I have seen you grow and your attitude change. I just don't know you were the Owner so... Calm down!!! When the momo achar was SPOILT during a grubhub delivery mid week I called and informed them and told them to take care of the quality and moved on... Never put a bad review cos I loved Himalayan Yak as the local restaurant. Very shameful to say customers use bad reviews as a weapon to get back for what???!!!! Who cares for Himalayan Yak dude in the big scheme of things? Take the review or leave it.... God and the universe will dish out the Karma!

  We had an amazing lunch at Himalayan Wild Yak with the Kandara band and Komal Dai, and the entire experience was fantastic. The food was delicious, full of authentic Himalayan flavours, and everything we tried was prepared beautifully. The drinks were great as well, and the service really stood out — warm, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely hospitable. It was a wonderful place for us to sit down, enjoy a great meal, and spend some quality time together. Huge thank you to the team at Himalayan Wild Yak for taking such good care of us. Highly recommended if you’re looking for great Himalayan food, amazing service, and a welcoming atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back! 🙏❤️

  Good food, semi-authentic Nepali and Indian cuisine, but manage your expectations depending on when you go. I've been twice. First visit was a weekday, solo, and it was great: relaxed, solid food, no complaints. Second visit was a different story. Weekend, packed house, and a family let their two kids run wild around the dining room like it was a playground. The parents didn't care, and neither did the staff. Nobody said a word while it disrupted everyone else's meal. For a restaurant this busy on weekends, that's a basic standards issue management needs to fix. The food's good enough that I'll go back, but not for a sit-down weekend dinner. Takeout or the courtyard only from now on.
