  The Safeway in Rosslyn has been notorious for stale produce for years, but I saw a cheese tonight that expired three weeks ago! When I asked the store clerk why on earth they didn't catch this, they shrugged. They also sell "fresh" bread for several days after it's baked, so watch out for that. A quality bakery would change its stock daily. This store needs to re-train all of its staff. The cheese could've put me in the hospital. I've filed a complaint with Arlington County as well.

  Was ok. I live close by. I used to get basic things there, but now they have this heavy set dude that follows you around. Another reviewer noticed to in recent review here. Unsettling so I stopped going there

  Western Union service abominable. One person only is trained. Hours shift. Receptionist on phone gives out incorrect info. Abbeys hours inconsistent. Waj said she would be trained 5 months ago, but still isn't. Same for Parker. Manager Lisa can't manage a lemonade stand. Awful x 500.

  BUYER BEWARE. Stay away from this Safeway. I recently had a disappointing experience at this Safeway on April 7 at approximately 7:05 PM that I feel compelled to share. Check your cameras. During self checkout, upon inquiring about parking validation, I encountered an employee standing near the self-checkout kiosks who exhibited a noticeable lack of patience. Instead of providing helpful information, he simply gestured and stated, "use your receipt." When I sought further clarification, he raised his voice in front of other customers repeating himself, declaring, "I’m here and I’m not going anywhere. I’m in this country to make it better." This comment seemed completely irrelevant to my question and highlighted a troubling absence of proper customer service training. His behavior was not only unprofessional but also quite alarming, as he appeared comfortable yelling and gaslighting me, which reflects poorly on the management's philosophy in empowering employees to act in such a manner. Throughout this uncomfortable encounter, not a single manager intervened. Another employee approached to inquire about the situation, but rather than assist, he allowed the disgruntled employee to speak over me as I tried to explain the problem. Additionally, the store itself was overcrowded, making it difficult to navigate. The aisles were so cramped that it was challenging for two carts to pass each other, especially in the back of the store. I encountered this issue at the milk freezers. Overall, my experience was frustrating and unprofessional, and I hope the management takes steps to address these issues. I will not shop here again and will prefer to shop at other nearby stores like whole foods. I am also a business owner in Arlington. Very disappointed to see this display of poor customer service.
