  The waiter was polite and friendly, but the service was very slow. We sat outside with our dog, so that may have influenced their ability to serve us. I requested a Bulliet rye Manhattan, up. It’s the easiest drink to make. When it finally arrived, it was unreasonably sweet. I asked the waiter if the bartender had put simple syrup in it (Old Fashioneds have sugar, Manhattans do not). He returned and said he had. The waiter offered to replace it with a proper Manhattan. Although I’d only had a few sips of the first drink, he returned with a half of a normal cocktail. The food was very good, but no need to be so chintzy. Not normal for the usually-reliable M&S.

  As one who travels to VA from NY I am always looking for a good food spot. I love this restaurant, the steak was juicy and flavorful, the spinach was delicious and the mash potatoes were definitely homemade. I'm not even going to mention my succulent Chesapeake Oysters!!!! Deliciousness all around! The staff are amazing and attentive and the environment is very inviting. I will be back again and again!!

  We had such a wonderful experience at McCormick & Schmick's in Crystal City, and a huge part of that was our amazing waiter, **Leonard**! We originally stopped in for happy hour, but everything was so good that we decided to stay for dinner. Leonard provided exceptional service from the moment we sat down. He was warm, attentive, knowledgeable, and struck the perfect balance of checking on us without ever making us feel rushed. His recommendations were spot on and made our evening even more enjoyable. The food was absolutely delicious! We especially loved the **Shrimp Kisses** and the **spicy calamari**—both were packed with flavor and cooked perfectly. What started as a quick happy hour turned into a relaxing, memorable evening thanks to Leonard's outstanding hospitality and the excellent food. If you visit McCormick & Schmick's in Crystal City, we highly recommend asking for Leonard. He truly made our evening special, and we'll definitely be back!

  Food was decent. Worst service I've ever received from a restaurant. Waiter was incredibly incompetent. Two items were missing from our order. Had to go out of our way to get a refill. Checks took 20 minutes to arrive after we asked for them, and the checks were wrong. Waiter seemed completely oblivious to how bad the service was. Do not go to this restaurant.

  My friend and I ATTEMPTED to enjoy happy hour on Friday July, 3rd, but we didn’t even get a chance to order. It wasn’t that busy when we arrived, but we waited at the host stand for about 10 minutes. There were 3 servers on the floor and not a SINGLE PERSON made eye contact or spoke to us. Finally, we chose a table and sat ourselves because we realized no one was coming to greet us. After another 10 minutes, the servers went to every table but ours. Finally, we flagged one down and he just dropped menus. He didn’t even say hello or ask if we wanted to order drinks. After another 20 minutes, STILL nothing. So in total, it took us around 40 minutes to just get menus. Ridiculous. We headed over to Ted’s Montana Grill down the street and were treated so kindly. M&S will not be seeing us again.
