  This place is a hidden gem, the food is outstanding, Vojin took care of me and he provided above and beyond customer service. It was my first time at a Balkan restaurant, so I wanted to try the whole 9 yards of the Balkan experience. Vojin was happy to share his culture with me and guide me through. This is the perfect spot for a date, business meeting, networking or even if you’d like to come on your own and just unwind and enjoy outstanding food. I would also like to thank Vanessa and Jocelyne they were extremely nice and attentive since they were extremely busy during brunch. I’d definitely come here again for all these reasons.

  This place is great! our server Ana was very sweet. she told us what was popular and was very accommodating when we ordered a bunch of dishes over the time. She also checked in with is multiples times and told us what was still on its way. we ordered around 45 plates for 5 people and re-ordered a couple dishes. we took a picture of the menu and color coded it. the green we loved, the yellow was good, orange is okay, and red was not to our taste. We also got a free dessert at the end of our meal since it was our first time dining there.

  I ordered guacamole with cheese we always have brunch and lunch every day but today guacamole was not and the cheese was not perfect like used to be so I just asked the manager if I can change it the manager her name Dallas and she keep telling me no you cannot change it. You cannot give your refund. I ask her just I want you to change it to eat cheeseburger and she keeps talking like un professionally. She’s not professional so I decide she just gave me a little guacamole and worst experience I have on my life.

  Had such a lovely experience at Ambar Clarendon tonight ✨ The food was absolutely incredible from start to finish — every dish felt thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. The dinner experience is honestly such a fun way to try a little bit of everything. A special thank you to our server, Predrag, for making the night even better. He was attentive, kind, and made sure everything at our table was perfect the entire evening. Service like that really makes a difference. Definitely one of our favorite spots in the DMV for a cozy dinner night 🤍

  Ive been coming to ambar since 2017. And in 2017, that was the only day I received great service, UNTIL TODAY!!! Our server MARIO, was absolutely amazing. A true pleasure. He was attentive and made sure our glasses and table stayed full. Bussing staff was on top of their game today! Kitchen always does their thing, hence why I always come back. But today was the first time we had a server that was personable and attentive. Typically they are cold and seem as though they just do not want to serve us. My host stand interaction was subpar. I was greeted after standing there for at least 1 minute and it was in a very timid voice and just asked "can I help you" no welcome no question as to reservations. Maybe me, being a 20 year service professional, I expect differently. And we were walked all the way to the back of the restaurant, passed open tables to be seated. That was absolutely unacceptable. We were seated in the restaurant in a better spot so I do recognize that.
